Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law Chapter 846

I smelled them before I heard them. The second their scent hit my nose, I knew something was wrong.

Rogues didn’t come this close to my territory—not like this. Not without a death wish. And they sure as hell didn’t move with this kind of purpose.

They weren’t wandering. They weren’t hunting for scraps. They were coming straight for my damn house.

I shifted mid-run. Muscles cramped, bones reshaped, and the wolf took over fast. My vision sharpened, and scent exploded through my senses. Two rogues—male, underfed, desperate.

A growl tore from my throat, loud enough to echo across the yard.

I wasn’t the only one who caught their scent. Erik was there, along with several of my gammas, already braced for a fight. I turned to Erik, my wolf’s eyes burning with restrained fury.

“I need you to check on Judy,” I ordered. “And Irene and Matt. I need to know my family is safe. There are still gammas inside, but I need someone I trust watching them.”

“I need to see Irene,” he growled back through the mindlink.

“I need you to do this for me, Erik,” I snapped. “Make sure my mate is okay. Irene’s strong—she can handle herself for a minute. I doubt any rogues got inside, but I need certainty. All of them need to be safe.”

Erik’s massive wolf dipped his head once before spinning around and sprinting toward the villa.

    I didn’t waste another second.

I turned back just as the first rogue lunged for the steps leading to the back door. I slammed into him before he made it halfway, my teeth sinking into his shoulder. He yelped but kept fighting, driven by something stronger than fear.

The second rogue tried to slip along the fence, but Taylor barreled into him, knocking up snow and dirt. They rolled across the ground, snapping and clawing. I hadn’t even realized Taylor had joined the fight until he was there.

His wolf was huge—powerful—blood already staining his teeth from a rogue he’d taken down moments earlier.

Pride surged through me as I looked at my Beta.

The rogue beneath me thrashed weakly, foam bubbling at his mouth, eyes already glazed. I ended it quickly, snapping his neck without hesitation or mercy.

Taylor finished his opponent seconds later, chest heaving, blood dripping from his jaw.

“You good?” he asked through the mindlink.

    I didn’t answer.

I lifted my head, scanning upward until I found the window—until I found her silhouette.

    I knew she was watching.

My heart clenched painfully at the thought of her seeing this. Seeing the blood. The violence.

She was safe. That was all that mattered. But the fear in her eyes told me she was shaken.

I wanted to pull her into my arms. To tell her everything was going to be okay. That I would never let them touch her. That I would never let them breach our home or hurt our family.

My wolf surged forward, claws tearing into the ground, every instinct screaming the same command.

    Protect her.
    Protect them.

I tackled another rogue to the ground, teeth bared. He shifted into human form beneath me, eyes wild, body trembling. He was weaker than the others—weak enough to speak.

I shifted as well, towering over him, fury vibrating through every bone.

“Why are you in my territory?” I demanded, my voice booming across the yard.

    His lips curled.
“We came for her,” he hissed.

    “Who?”

“The future Luna,” he snarled. “We came to bring her back.”

    My blood ran ice-cold.

    Judy.

They knew. They knew who she was. They knew she was the true Blackwell heiress—the witch—the rightful owner of the Moon Gem.

My heart slammed violently against my ribs.

Without another thought, I snapped his neck.

I turned and ran for the villa, shoving the doors open so hard they rattled on their hinges. My heart thundered as I stormed up the stairs, breath ragged, panic clawing at my chest.

    I burst into the bedroom.

Judy spun away from the window, eyes wide, breath hitching.

“Gavin?” she whispered, her heart pounding so loudly I could hear it.

I crossed the room in two strides and pulled her into my arms, wrapping myself around her, holding her tight—like I needed her there just to breathe again.
