Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law Chapter 839
When she met Spencer Churchill, Ivy packed up herself and her daughter and moved straight into the Churchill manor. Cora had honestly believed she’d never see her again.
Unfortunately, she was wrong.
Their paths kept crossing, again and again—
including the night Cora’s parents died.
Ivy had been at the hospital that night. She’d overheard everything—Cora sobbing into Esme’s shoulder, confessing that the accident was her fault. Cora had been in the car. She’d lost control of her powers. The car flipped. And Ivy heard every word.
And from that moment on, Ivy knew she had Cora exactly where she wanted her.
“It seems you already know the answer to that,” Cora said now, dragging herself back to the present.
Ivy smirked, cold satisfaction blooming in her icy eyes.
“Correct. Fate clearly wanted our paths to cross again. And even better—my daughter is expecting a little girl too. A weak thing at that.”
“What?”
Ivy rolled her eyes dramatically.
“My daughter got pregnant with a rogue’s baby. A rogue, Cora. Can you believe that?” She scoffed. “A worthless child. And on top of that, she decides to run away to this dump of a hospital to give birth. Took us long enough to track her down, but we did. And we’re not letting her out of our sight again. Though I absolutely refuse to let that disgusting baby into my home. There’s no place for rogue blood in the life I built—after you tore my first one apart.”
Cora opened her mouth, but no words came out.
Ivy didn’t wait.
“Anyway… this actually works out perfectly. Remember our deal?” Her smile sharpened like a blade.
“I keep your little secret—about you killing your parents—and you give me that powerful little witch.”
Cora’s heart stopped dead.
“I can’t just give you my brother’s baby…” she whispered. “I—it’s not possible.”
Ivy clicked her tongue. “Of course it is. Or my husband—a very powerful Lycan, far more powerful than your brother—will wipe out the entire Blackwell family. Then we’ll take the baby anyway.” Her eyes glittered with cruelty.
“Your choice. Save your family… or let more deaths land on your conscience.”
Cora’s entire body shook.
“You’re so cruel,” she whispered, tears burning at the corners of her eyes.
Ivy leaned forward, voice dripping venom.
“You destroyed my life. You deserve every bit of cruelty I give you. And trust me—you don’t want to cross the Churchill family. We know how to make people disappear… and walk away with our hands clean.”
She shrugged as if discussing something mundane.
“My daughter won’t know the difference if you switch the babies. She’s never been bright enough to figure something like that out. The choice is yours. Choose wisely.”
Cora’s lungs felt tight, her heartbeat thundering in her ears.
She was trapped.
But she was going to remove the magic from her brother’s baby anyway… which meant the power wouldn’t fall into the wrong hands. And Ivy didn’t know that.
Cora couldn’t let more blood stain her conscience.
She couldn’t let her brother learn what really happened all those years ago.
She knew what decision she had to make—
she just prayed she was strong enough to follow through.
Jaw tight, heart cracking, she turned away from Ivy and walked back toward her brother’s room.
