Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3429
The cliffs on both sides collapsed with thunderous roars, as if an earthquake had struck the valley.
The terrifying display frightened the disciples of the Veiled Faction so badly that their faces turned deathly pale. They kept retreating in panic.
Dalton immediately shouted, ordering everyone to fall back even farther.
Watching the overwhelming power of the strike, he muttered to himself in disbelief.
“This kid is already invincible…”
“I’m afraid only the great cultivators of ancient times could deal with him. But now spiritual energy has dried up, and every path of power has declined.”
“He alone stands at the very top.”
As Godslayer descended, Christopher’s face turned ashen with terror.
He desperately tried to summon the two water dragons in front of him to block the attack.
But it was useless.
With two loud splashes, the massive dragons collapsed and dissolved back into water, scattering through the air.
Meanwhile, the enormous sword continued falling straight toward Christopher’s head.
His hair and beard whipped wildly in the wind as he screamed in despair.
“No!”
His roar echoed across the entire valley.
The enormous pool beneath the waterfall suddenly surged upward as millions of pounds of water were blasted into the air.
The power of that single sword strike was simply overwhelming.
The entire torrent was thrown skyward before crashing back down again.
Christopher floated in midair, dazed—like a man whose soul had been ripped from his body.
Slowly, he raised a trembling hand and pointed at Andrew.
“Y-You…”
He stuttered for several seconds.
Then his hand went limp.
A thin line of blood appeared across his forehead.
The next moment—
his body split cleanly in two.
Both halves fell straight toward the ground below.
Christopher died with his eyes still wide open.
It was a horrifying sight.
With a single sword strike, Andrew had killed a man who had already reached the Beneath the Gods realm.
Andrew showed no change in expression.
He calmly stepped back onto the riverbank and said casually,
“Let’s go.”
Dalton let out a long breath and exchanged a glance with the Veiled Faction expert beside him.
Neither could hide the shock in their eyes.
In the end, Dalton simply sighed and followed the group without another word.
Shiloh smirked slightly.
“That sword strike just now was pretty impressive. Even at my absolute peak, I probably wouldn’t have been able to stop it.”
Andrew smiled faintly.
“The things you can’t block aren’t limited to just that one sword strike.”
“I’ve got plenty more you can’t block either… don’t I?”
The more Shiloh listened, the stranger the sentence sounded.
When she noticed the mischievous expression on Andrew’s face, realization struck immediately.
Her cheeks flushed red with embarrassment and irritation.
“Andrew, you’re becoming more and more shameless!”
Andrew shrugged.
“In the past, you were a thousand-year-old monster, and I couldn’t beat you. Of course I was afraid of you.”
“But now, I don’t care what ancient senior you used to be.”
“I only know two things.”
“I can suppress you… and you’re the mother of my son.”
“That’s enough for me.”
Shiloh took a deep breath, trying to calm herself and stop her thoughts from wandering.
And just like that, Andrew and his group openly settled down within the Veiled Paradise.
As the ruler of the realm, Dalton gradually changed his attitude toward Andrew.
Over time, many of the Veiled Paradise’s hidden secrets were revealed to him by Dalton and the senior leaders of the Sacred Realm.
One of those secrets concerned the realm’s future.
The spiritual energy inside the Veiled Paradise was slowly declining.
Dalton estimated that within one hundred years, the barrier separating the Veiled Paradise from the outside world would completely collapse.
Even if it did not break entirely, the isolation that protected the realm would vanish.
In other words, the Veiled Paradise would eventually become no different from the outside world.
And that meant it would lose its greatest advantage.
For centuries, many forces from the outside world had coveted this hidden realm.
Dalton worried that once the barrier disappeared, outsiders might invade in overwhelming numbers.
Andrew, however, remained indifferent.
He still held a rather poor opinion of the Veiled Paradise.
Dalton eventually grew irritated and tried to appeal to the blood relationship between them.
Andrew simply replied coldly,
“I’ve killed plenty of people who shared my blood.”
