Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3427
The Veiled Paradise was not particularly vast.
According to Dalton, it was merely a fragment of a world left behind from ancient times. Their ancestors had discovered it by chance, gradually taken control of it, and eventually formed what was now known as the Veiled Faction.
At that moment, several figures streaked across the sky above a dense, primitive forest like flashes of lightning.
As they passed overhead, the strange beasts roaming the forest below immediately tucked their tails and trembled in fear.
At the front of the group flew a tall, handsome young man with sharp brows, bright eyes, and a cold expression.
He moved like a bolt of lightning.
It was Andrew.
Behind him followed Dalton, along with another Beyond Mortal expert from the Veiled Faction.
Further back were Shiloh, Nyx, and Bridget.
Trailing behind them, the Veiled Faction’s people escorted Luna, Reginald, Eleanor, and the rest of Andrew’s companions.
“The person you’re looking for is at the waterfall up ahead,” Dalton said in a deep voice.
As soon as he finished speaking, Andrew could already hear the thunderous roar of crashing water.
His figure shot higher into the air.
The view immediately opened before him.
A massive waterfall plunged from a cliff more than three hundred feet high, crashing downward with tremendous force.
It was a spectacular sight.
Bridget and the others behind him gasped in admiration.
Only a place like the Veiled Paradise could contain such a breathtaking natural wonder.
Andrew spread out his senses.
Almost instantly, he detected something unusual.
Behind the waterfall was a hollow space.
Someone was hiding inside.
Before Andrew could speak, a proud voice suddenly echoed from within the roaring curtain of water.
“I had no intention of becoming too entangled with the Veiled Faction, but the Royal Court keeps pestering me endlessly.”
A cold snort followed.
“Dalton, do you really think I wouldn’t dare take action against the Veiled Faction?”
Dalton replied calmly, “Wyrmhelm, the one who came looking for trouble today is not the Veiled Faction.”
Christopher’s voice continued to echo from behind the waterfall.
Even the thunderous torrent could not drown out his words.
“Not the Veiled Faction? Then who could it be?”
“Has someone else entered the Veiled Paradise?”
“There’s no one in the outside world worth my attention.”
At that moment, Andrew finally spoke.
His voice boomed like thunder, overwhelming every sound around them.
“Wyrmhelm, you old bastard!”
“Come out here and face your death!”
For a moment, everything behind the waterfall fell silent.
Then a furious roar exploded outward.
“So it’s you!”
“Good! I didn’t expect you to actually track me down here.”
“I don’t even consider Reginald a threat—much less you.”
“Since you’ve come looking for death, I’ll gladly grant your wish!”
Boom!
The waterfall suddenly exploded apart, water spraying everywhere.
Christopher burst out from within, carrying a terrifying and overwhelming presence.
But the moment he saw the group gathered outside, his expression shifted in surprise.
Then he burst into laughter.
“The Veiled Faction has always been so arrogant, always looking down on everyone.”
“But now it seems your clan isn’t so impressive after all.”
He glanced at Andrew and sneered.
“This brat barged straight into the Veiled Paradise, yet you old fools didn’t dare do anything and simply let him run wild.”
Clicking his tongue mockingly, he added,
“Looks like I overestimated your clan.”
Dalton merely let out a cold laugh.
He didn’t bother responding.
Because he already knew—
Christopher was about to die.
Andrew raised his greatsword without another word and charged straight toward Wyrmhelm.
Two massive sword strikes erupted at once.
The blades of energy crossed through the air, surging forward with overwhelming power as they slashed toward their target.
