Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3424
Eleanor smiled gently.
“You must be the Saintess from the Greene family, right? I traveled outside years ago and had the honor of meeting you several times.”
Shiloh gave a slight nod.
“I remember you.”
Eleanor continued kindly, “That’s right—this place is not the Royal Court of the Veiled Faction. In fact, we’re very far from it. Reggie and I both carry the burden of past sins, so we chose to live here in seclusion and avoid being disturbed.”
Shiloh fell silent for a moment before replying calmly.
“You don’t need to worry. Andrew can take you out of here. Even the Veiled Faction would not be a match for him now.”
Eleanor immediately turned to Andrew and shook her head with a gentle smile.
“Andy, I’m not going anywhere. As long as you’re well—and both you and Reggie are safe—that’s all that matters to me.”
Andrew had been holding back his emotions for a long time.
Finally, he asked, “Mom, why are you and Dad living here alone? Dad, what about the others who entered the Veiled Paradise with you that day?”
“Where are Waylon, Wyrmhelm, Marcato, Raiden, and Mephiston?”
Reginald answered calmly.
“Some of them were killed by the Veiled Faction. Waylon was one of them.”
“Others ventured deep into the wilderness of the Veiled Paradise, searching for opportunities. This place is full of treasures for cultivators.”
“Wyrmhelm was the most ambitious. The moment he entered the Veiled Paradise, he disappeared without a trace.”
“As for Mephiston and Raiden… they’ve already become prisoners of the Veiled Faction.”
The others were stunned.
“Is the Veiled Faction really that powerful?” someone asked.
Eleanor spoke solemnly.
“Andy, your father and I plan to live out the rest of our lives here. He was only allowed to survive because he agreed to abandon all his martial arts.”
“Otherwise, trespassing into the Veiled Paradise would have meant immediate execution.”
Reginald nodded.
“That’s right. With my strength back then, I had no way to resist the Veiled Faction at all.”
“Andrew, while the Royal Court hasn’t discovered us yet, you should take everyone and leave immediately.”
Andrew’s expression turned cold.
“There’s no need.”
Reginald frowned. “No need?”
Andrew repeated calmly, “No need. Someone is already on their way—and they didn’t come with good intentions.”
The moment he finished speaking, the ground began to tremble.
Outside, more than a hundred warriors had appeared, all clad in ancient-style armor.
Eleanor’s face changed dramatically.
“Andy, I won’t let anything happen to you! Don’t worry about this. I’ll hold them off while you all escape!”
Andrew stopped her and smiled warmly.
“Mom, don’t worry. Leave everything to me.”
“I’m strong enough to protect you now.”
He pushed open the door and stepped outside.
The warriors stood silently in formation.
Their leader stepped forward, his voice thick with killing intent.
“Outsider, you’ve got some nerve.”
“Come with me now to face judgment. Otherwise, you will be executed on the spot.”
Andrew replied coldly, “Take me to the Royal Court, and I might spare your life.”
The man flew into a rage and raised his war spear.
“Kill him!”
The warriors behind him charged forward in unison. Their attacks merged together as they surged toward Andrew.
Combined, their strike possessed power at the peak of the Beyond Mortal realm.
Andrew merely glanced at them sideways.
Then, with a casual backhand punch, he struck downward.
Boom!
The earth split apart with a thunderous roar.
All the warriors spat blood as they were thrown backward. More than half were severely wounded, while several died instantly on the spot.
