Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3393
Ragnar’s face twisted with hatred.
“As long as we destroy Holtrien, no nation in this world will be able to challenge the West. But such a perfect opportunity was ruined by the Three Empires’ failure. And now they’ve dragged us down with them.”
Jorge remained silent for a moment before replying with a cold hiss. “Holtrien has never been easy to deal with—neither in ancient times nor today. Otherwise, our Western continent wouldn’t have been eyeing them for a thousand years without managing to take even a single inch of eastern territory.”
Ragnar said irritably, “Holtrien may be strong, but the West, the Dark Clans, and the alliance of the Three Empires together can still break them. Jorge, you must have sensed it already… Andrew is definitely a threat—one that could even endanger us progenitors.”
He paused before continuing grimly.
“In this war between the eastern and western continents, if we can kill him, that would be ideal. If we can’t… then in the future, we might be the ones facing complete extinction.”
The green ghostly flames in Jorge’s eyes flickered.
He was about to speak when his entire body suddenly trembled.
He gasped, “The Queen… she—”
Before he could finish, he dropped to his knees.
Ragnar jumped in shock, then immediately realized what was happening and knelt down as well.
In front of Jorge, the phantom hem of a red dress appeared first.
Even though he knew it was only an illusion and not a physical presence, the mere sight of that blood-red fabric nearly crushed him. The ghostly flames in his eyes dimmed, almost extinguished entirely.
“Welcome, Your Majesty!”
Jorge and Ragnar spoke in unison, bowing deeply in reverence.
A voice as cold as winter frost drifted faintly into their ears.
“Jorge. Ragnar.”
“You two must return to the Blood Sanctum immediately. Do not delay.”
With that single sentence, the Vampire Queen’s phantom vanished.
Only after a long moment did Jorge and Ragnar dare to stand again.
“What’s going on, Jorge?” Ragnar asked impatiently. “Why did Her Majesty summon us back?”
Jorge remained silent for a long time before finally speaking.
“I’m not sure,” he said slowly. “But I could sense that Her Majesty’s heart is not at peace. Ragnar, we must leave immediately and return to the Blood Sanctum at once.”
Ragnar frowned unwillingly.
“But what about Andrew? I still want to kill him.”
Jorge sneered. “Are you saying you’re willing to defy the Vampire Queen’s orders?”
Ragnar immediately fell silent, then snorted coldly.
“Fine. We’ll head to the Blood Sanctum right away.”
Although werewolves were not technically under vampire authority—and the two races were even mortal enemies to some extent—things changed when the Vampire Queen, that extraordinary existence, awakened.
Even the three werewolf progenitors had to lower their proud heads.
After all, it was the Vampire Queen who had created the modern werewolf clan.
Facing her overwhelming dominance and oppressive presence, even Ragnar—a werewolf progenitor—felt fear.
In the end, power ruled above everything else.
That was the unbreakable law of this world.
