Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3382
Andrew’s shout cracked through the chamber like thunder.
“Nyx!”
Nyx had already moved.
The moment the Crimson Flame Lord struck Shiloh, Nyx vanished from where she stood. A silver streak flashed across the vault as her blade tore through the air toward the High Oracle’s throat.
CLANG!
The sound of metal striking something impossibly hard echoed across the chamber.
Nyx’s sword stopped inches from his neck.
One of the Guardians had stepped forward at the last second, his curved blade catching hers with brutal force.
The impact sent a shockwave through the room, scattering coins and dust.
The Guardian grinned savagely.
“Your opponent is me.”
Nyx’s eyes turned cold.
“Then die.”
She twisted her wrist and unleashed a storm of slashes so fast they looked like flickers of light. Steel rang out again and again as the Guardian struggled to block.
Meanwhile—
Joe rushed toward Shiloh, helping her up.
“Are you okay?”
Shiloh wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth and nodded, fury burning in her eyes.
“I’m fine.”
Across the chamber, Andrew slowly stepped forward.
His greatsword dragged lightly against the stone floor, leaving a faint trail as sparks flickered beneath the blade.
The Crimson Flame Lord looked at him with amused curiosity.
“So… the famous Dragon Prince finally moves.”
He spread his arms slightly, dark energy swirling around him like black fire.
“Come then, Andrew Lloyd.”
“Let me see if the man who killed Guillermo can entertain me.”
Andrew stopped ten steps away.
His expression was calm.
Too calm.
“You’re right about one thing,” Andrew said quietly.
“This place is real.”
The Crimson Flame Lord smirked.
“Of course it is.”
“And thanks to it…”
His aura exploded outward, crushing the air itself.
“…I’m now beyond even the Beyond Mortal realm.”
Andrew’s eyes sharpened.
“Maybe.”
The Crimson Flame Lord tilted his head.
“Maybe?”
Andrew slowly raised his greatsword.
“But you missed something.”
The High Oracle frowned slightly.
“And what would that be?”
Andrew glanced briefly at the glowing sentence above the stone platform.
“This vault can grant whatever you desire…”
“…but don’t get greedy.”
The Crimson Flame Lord laughed.
“You think that warning means anything to me?”
Andrew’s lips curved into a faint smile.
“No.”
“It doesn’t.”
His grip tightened on the sword.
“But the vault means it.”
At that exact moment—
The golden sentence above the platform flared violently.
The light pouring into the Crimson Flame Lord suddenly stopped.
Then—
The names carved into the platform began to glow.
One by one.
Wyrmhelm.
Several others.
And finally—
Crimson Flame Lord.
The glowing letters suddenly turned deep crimson.
The ancient voice echoed through the chamber again.
“Desire fulfilled.”
“Greed threshold exceeded.”
“Penalty protocol initiated.”
The Crimson Flame Lord’s smile froze.
“…What?”
The energy inside his body suddenly surged out of control.
The dark aura surrounding him twisted violently like a raging storm.
His expression shifted from confusion…
…to horror.
Andrew lowered his stance slightly, ready to strike.
“Like I said.”
“You got greedy.”
The Crimson Flame Lord screamed as the power he had stolen began tearing him apart from the inside.
