Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3377
The battlefield had completely spiraled out of control.
Flames licked the night sky as tents and supply depots erupted into fire. The once orderly Allied camp now looked like a shattered hive, soldiers running in every direction while the thunder of steel and screams of battle filled the air.
Cormac’s great axe rose and fell like a storm.
Each swing carved a bloody path through the Allied soldiers trying desperately to form a defensive line. The elites behind him moved with ruthless coordination, striking like trained predators.
“Break their formation!” Cormac roared.
His voice cut through the chaos like a war horn.
The Cavendish fighters answered with savage enthusiasm. Within seconds, the thin defensive wall the Allied troops tried to build shattered apart.
Bodies fell.
Weapons clattered.
Panic spread.
Above the battlefield, the clash between Andrew and Azrael shook the sky itself.
BOOM!
A blinding burst of blue and silver light exploded across the clouds as their weapons collided again. The shockwave rolled across the battlefield like thunder, flattening nearby watchtowers and sending soldiers stumbling.
Andrew twisted midair, catching his returning greatsword as it spun back into his grasp.
“You’ve gotten stronger,” Azrael said, his mechanical lenses glowing brighter.
Andrew wiped a streak of blood from the corner of his mouth and smirked.
“So have you. But not enough.”
Azrael laughed again, that same deep, savage sound echoing from inside the armored shell.
The spear in his hands suddenly hummed.
Energy surged along its length, forming a blazing spiral of blue fire.
“Then let’s end this.”
He thrust the spear forward.
The night sky split apart as a massive beam of power tore toward Andrew like a falling comet.
Andrew’s eyes sharpened.
Instead of dodging, he charged straight into it.
The greatsword in his hands erupted with a brilliant silver glow as he roared and swung.
“Break!”
The two forces collided in a catastrophic explosion that lit the entire battlefield like daylight.
Below them, even the raging soldiers paused for a heartbeat.
Then the sky detonated.
And the real battle began.
