Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3364
Nyx looked at him in surprise.
“Honey, what do you mean by that? Who exactly is the Greene family’s Saintess, and how do you even know her?”
As a woman, her instincts were sharp. A quiet suspicion had already formed in her mind—this might be another one of Andrew’s women.
Andrew answered quickly, “Nyx, I’ll explain everything after we find Shiloh.”
Then he turned to Atticus. “Patriarch, could you arrange for someone to take me to her right now?”
Atticus paused for a moment before nodding. “Of course. She’s not far from here.
“She claims the Greene family’s hidden treasure is somewhere within our territory, which is why she came. Personally, I’ve always believed that’s just a cover story. I suspect she has another agenda entirely.”
He smiled faintly and continued, “But if you can help us resolve this headache, Mr. Lloyd, the timing couldn’t be better.”
Asher stepped forward immediately. “Mr. Lloyd, I’ll take you there myself.”
Andrew nodded. “Good. Let’s leave now.”
Nyx was already on her feet.
“I’m coming too.”
Andrew didn’t try to stop her. With Asher leading the way, the three of them left the Cavendish royal family’s main base without delay.
A few hours later, they arrived in the far northeastern region of Holtrien—a remote, nearly untouched area where few people ever ventured.
Asher pointed ahead.
“That fortified mountain stronghold up there is where Cormac has been in a standoff with the Greene family’s Saintess. It’s also one of our family’s key defensive outposts against outside threats.”
By the time he finished speaking, they had already entered the stronghold.
From the outside, it looked like nothing more than a mountain fortress, but in reality it functioned as a full military garrison manned by Cavendish warriors.
They found Cormac quickly.
He was in the middle of rallying his men when Asher called out, “Cormac!”
“Asher, you’re back!”
Cormac spun around, and the moment he saw Asher, his face lit up with relief and surprise.
But when his eyes shifted to Andrew and Nyx standing behind him, his expression changed instantly.
Asher smiled and quickly explained.
“Cormac, the Cavendish family and Mr. Lloyd are on the same side now. Back at Cliffside Gate earlier, Mr. Lloyd helped us in a big way.”
He briefly summarized everything—from Andrew’s arrival in the north to the events that had unfolded—until Cormac fully understood the situation.
Cormac wasn’t wearing a mask this time.
He stood tall and composed, the kind of man whose presence alone revealed elite martial ability. His temples were prominent, and a focused intensity lingered in his eyes.
After hearing everything, he broke into a wide smile and walked straight toward Andrew, extending his hand.
“Andrew, thank you for letting go of the past between us. The fact that we’ve moved beyond that and are now on the same side means a lot.”
Andrew smiled back.
“As long as you’re not still upset about me knocking you down back in Chetvine, we’re good.”
Cormac flushed slightly and let out an awkward laugh.
“That was on me. You were simply stronger. And honestly, I was out of line back then. I had no idea you had already broken through to the Beyond Mortal realm. That completely caught me off guard.”
Andrew waved it off.
“Let’s not dwell on that. Can you take me to the Greene family’s Saintess now?”
Cormac nodded. “I can—but you should be careful. She’s not someone to underestimate.
“Her growth in martial ability has been unbelievable. Two years ago, when I first encountered her, she had just reached the Martial God level.
“And now, only two years later, she’s already at the peak of that level.
“On top of that, the Greene family has unique combat techniques and a few other tricks. Honestly, I can’t say with certainty that I could defeat her outright.”
Andrew was slightly surprised.
He hadn’t expected Shiloh’s strength to grow so quickly in just two years.
Still, he felt no caution or unease.
Shiloh was his woman.
Since returning to Holtrien, he had been searching for her, but constant complications had kept him from taking the time to track her down personally. In the meantime, he had quietly asked around for news of her whereabouts.
Running into her here, in Cavendish territory, was the last thing he had expected.
Cormac noticed the softened expression on Andrew’s face and asked curiously,
“You really do know her personally, don’t you? Are the two of you actually that close?”
