Nyx glanced at Andrew. “The Cavendish family has said their piece and cleared the air. Why are we still here? Come on, honey. Let’s go.”

Andrew shook his head. “Nyx, let’s watch for now. The combined forces of the three empires aren’t something to underestimate. If the Cavendish royal family can’t hold the line, I’ll have to send reinforcements.

“If they fall, the entire eastern front of Holtrien collapses.”

Nyx gave a cold snort, clearly unhappy. But she trusted Andrew without question and didn’t argue further.
