Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3349
Someone in the crowd said, “Grand Elder Orson has always had a fiery temper. He’s never backed down from a fight. Now that he’s facing the Lloyd family’s Dragon Prince, it’s anyone’s guess who takes this.”
Another voice scoffed. “Please. The Dragon Prince is getting crushed. Talent or not, Orson’s been famous for decades. In the end, experience beats youth.”
“That’s nonsense,” someone else shot back. “I heard that in Chetvine, even the National Advisor, Mr. Guillermo Vazquez, fell to Andrew. If that’s true, Orson might be walking straight into his own downfall.”
High above them, Andrew and Orson stood atop Azure Gate, their auras rising steadily, colliding in invisible waves.
Hundreds of thousands had gathered—martial artists from across Holtrien, military officers, disciples from ancient sects, members of powerful families, and representatives from hidden clans.
Those who understood Andrew’s true strength believed Orson was about to humiliate himself. Those who didn’t were convinced that no matter how gifted Andrew might be, he couldn’t possibly match a legend like Orson.
The Nieves family stood in the crowd with cold, confident smirks. Previously, Orson had been barred from entering Chetvine to deal with Andrew. Now, in front of nearly every major power in Holtrien, he could finally settle the score.
War was looming, and Orson couldn’t openly kill one of their own—but the Nieves family was certain Andrew would at least be crippled.
Only Jeffery, Alfredo, Philip, and several sect leaders watched with quiet amusement. Orson was leaning too heavily on his name and seniority. This time, that wouldn’t save him.
Alfredo, in particular, looked almost radiant. He had just suffered a brutal defeat himself. Watching Orson walk toward the same fate felt deeply satisfying.
Orson made the first move.
“Brat!” he roared. “You killed my great-grandson, Skylar, and humiliated the Nieves family again and again. Today, you pay. Die!”
He surged forward, covering over a hundred yards in just a few strides. Then he leapt into the air and unleashed a punch that seemed to tear the air apart, driving straight toward Andrew’s head.
A cold glint flashed in Andrew’s eyes.
He didn’t step back. He didn’t even shift his stance. He simply threw a punch of his own.
A massive wave of force formed in front of his fist, shaped like an inverted steel bowl. It blazed with light, whipping up a violent storm that spiraled outward.
Their fists collided head-on.
Orson felt as if his skin were being ripped from his bones. The flesh on his face twisted visibly under the crushing pressure.
“You—”
Shock flooded his eyes. He roared and tried to pull away, desperate to create distance.
Andrew’s lips curved into a faint, mocking smile.
Orson wanted to retreat.
Too late.
Andrew’s fist opened into a palm and clamped down on Orson’s wrist. With a sharp yank, he locked Orson’s arm in place like it had been caught in iron shackles.
“Let go of me!” Orson bellowed.
His aura erupted outward as he struggled, but Andrew’s grip didn’t budge.
With his free hand, Orson launched frantic counterattacks, blasts of energy ripping through the air. Azure Gate trembled under the shockwaves of their clash. Weaker spectators instinctively retreated, unwilling to be caught in the crossfire.
“Old man,” Andrew’s calm voice rang out through the storm, “if you’re done warming up, it’s my turn.”
A massive phantom fist materialized, wrapped in roaring flames and streaked with red lightning.
It shot forward and slammed into Orson.
Orson spat out a mouthful of blood.
His powerful frame rocketed backward—so fast that his earlier charge now looked like a slow stroll by comparison.
