Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3346
Even though Alfredo had agreed to join the war, Andrew had no intention of letting him off that easily. Only after another ruthless round of punishment did he finally stop.
By then, Alfredo’s face was drained of color. Not a trace of the Sword Saint’s former arrogance remained. His body trembled uncontrollably, and when he looked at Andrew, it was as if he were staring at something inhuman.
At Andrew’s current level, crushing a Martial God like Alfredo wasn’t effortless—but it was close.
With Swordhaven Keep officially entering the war, all Eight Ancient Sects of Holtrien were finally assembled on the battlefield outside Azure Gate. Alfredo, Monty, Rupert, Bridget, and Luther’s arrival gave Holtrien’s forces a much-needed surge of morale.
But in terms of sheer numbers, the Dark Clans and the three great Empires still held the advantage.
Inside Azure Gate, the command center had been established.
Andrew walked in with Alfredo at his side. At first, Alfredo had refused to walk beside him. But after Andrew lost patience and threatened to “adjust his attitude” again, Alfredo fell in line.
Seeing Alfredo bruised and battered—his once sharp, arrogant face now mottled in shades of blue and purple—Luther, who had just arrived, couldn’t help asking, “Mr. Topsfield Senior… what happened to you?”
Philip and the others, fully aware of the truth, worked hard to keep straight faces. It took real effort not to laugh.
Luna had been waiting for Andrew. The moment she saw him, she ran over with a bright smile. “Honey, you’re here!”
Andrew smiled back and gently pinched her cheek.
Luna glanced around the room. “You all have serious matters to discuss. I’ll go find Valerie, Nyx, and Rowan.”
Meanwhile, Alfredo merely snorted at Luther’s question. He flicked his robe, took a seat, and said nothing.
Luther only smiled, unfazed. His strength and composure far surpassed Alfredo’s. Calmly, he said, “Mr. Topsfield Senior, we’re all from the Eight Ancient Sects. We’re on the same side. If you’re facing any difficulties, speak up. I’ll support you.”
Alfredo replied coldly without even looking at him. “My affairs are my own. Keep your concern to yourself. Now, why exactly are we all gathered here? If there’s nothing important, I won’t waste my time.”
Philip cleared his throat. “We called everyone here to assess Holtrien’s top-tier combat strength. Also, the armies of the three great Empires are stationed north of Azure Gate. That region falls under the Cavendish royal family’s defense zone.”
He continued, “But the Cavendish family alone won’t be able to hold them off. We need to send reinforcements.”
Alfredo immediately said, “Swordhaven Keep is willing to go.”
Philip nodded. “That would be ideal. Then Mr. Topsfield Senior—”
Before he could finish, Andrew spoke calmly, “Swordhaven Keep will remain at Azure Gate to defend against the main enemy. You’re not going anywhere.”
Anger flashed across Alfredo’s face. But when his eyes met Andrew’s, he swallowed whatever words were rising in his throat.
He said nothing.
A chill ran through the room.
Even a volatile figure like Alfredo had been completely subdued by Andrew. In Holtrien now, very few could withstand Andrew’s words—let alone his fists.
Monty and Rupert, two titans who would normally be treated as honored guests anywhere in the nation, sat quietly in the corner.
At this moment, they were as silent as mice, listening obediently and not daring to interrupt.
