Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3339
The moment Andrew stepped outside, Dorothy and the others visibly brightened, convinced their plan had succeeded.
Giovanni, unable to contain himself, hurried forward and tried to slip past Andrew for a glimpse inside, clearly eager to see what kind of scene awaited.
Andrew shifted smoothly to block him. “Ms. Easterling exhausted herself. She needs rest,” he said evenly. “Please don’t disturb her.”
Jealousy burned across Giovanni’s face. He sneered, “Mr. Lloyd, how unexpectedly considerate. What a gentleman.”
Though his tone dripped with sarcasm, he didn’t dare push further.
Valerie, meanwhile, glared at Andrew, hurt flashing in her eyes. Nyx and Rowan were no better.
Andrew forced himself to ignore the uncomfortable tension and turned to Dorothy.
“Madam Fontaine, I’ve fulfilled your condition. We can leave the sect now, correct?”
Dorothy smiled warmly. “There’s no need to rush, Mr. Lloyd. May I go in and check on Charlotte? We wouldn’t want her body overtaxed.”
Andrew nodded. “Of course.”
Moments later, Dorothy emerged wearing an expression of unmistakable delight.
Charlotte lay flushed and asleep, her internal energy visibly surging beneath her skin. The sheets were rumpled. Though there were no obvious marks, the scene strongly implied what had happened.
Yet Dorothy couldn’t help but feel puzzled.
Andrew stood there composed and steady.
Harmony Sect’s techniques were anything but mild. Even the strongest, most vigorous men usually walked out drained—energy depleted, eyes unfocused, barely able to stand. Even high-level martial artists left looking hollowed out.
But Andrew looked exactly as he had before entering.
Dorothy considered this for a moment—then her joy deepened.
He must be an exceptionally rare and powerful cultivation partner.
If Charlotte—and perhaps even she herself—could benefit from him for years, even decades, how much stronger could they become?
Her gaze toward Andrew turned subtly more suggestive.
Andrew pretended not to notice.
After a brief rest, Dorothy acted decisively. She ordered all disciples to descend the mountain and head for Azure Gate.
Soon, the entire sect assembled.
Only then did Andrew truly grasp the Harmony Sect’s strength.
Although most of its members were women, their power was far from weak.
Dorothy herself stood at the peak of the Martial God level. Two senior elders—both alluring and composed—were also at that same peak.
This foundation was far stronger than the Umbral Peak Sect.
Among the Eight Ancient Sects, Harmony Sect had always carried an unusual reputation. Few ever praised their martial prowess.
It now seemed they had quietly built formidable strength while the world underestimated them.
Even the ordinary female disciples moved with restrained energy, clearly trained and capable fighters.
Jerome smiled. “Andy, Harmony Sect’s strength might be the most intact among the Eight Ancient Sects. Umbral Peak, the Divine Alchemists, and Thunder Sect all suffered losses, even with their numbers.”
He gestured at the assembled disciples. “Harmony Sect didn’t lose a single member and is now joining forces. This trip was worth it.”
Eric squeezed in beside them, looking awkward.
“Hey, Andrew… did you really do it with Charlotte?”
Andrew shot him a look. “I did nothing. You’re overthinking.”
Eric looked unconvinced. “Then why was Dorothy so happy? She acted like you completely claimed her precious disciple. Something’s off with those Harmony Sect people.”
Andrew sighed. “I knocked Charlotte out. Then I took one of her aphrodisiac pills and made her swallow it. So when Dorothy went in and saw her condition, she assumed we’d already been intimate. That’s why she was so pleased.”
Eric stared at him in shock. “That actually worked?”
Then he burst into laughter. “You’re ruthless. You refused a beauty and knocked her out on top of it. Andrew, you’re unbelievable. Is Charlotte going to lose it when she finds out?”
Andrew replied calmly, “That’s not my concern.”
Jerome nodded approvingly. “Andy, that was both wise and decisive. Now that Harmony Sect’s disciples have left their mountain, even if Dorothy discovers the truth later, it won’t change anything.”
Back at the rear of the procession, Dorothy walked alongside several senior elders and Giovanni.
Giovanni frowned. “Madam Fontaine, we only left two disciples to guard the gates. Everyone else has come down. Still… I can’t shake the feeling we agreed too easily. I’m not sure we got the better end of this deal.”
