Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3330
Dorothy looked at the opposing elder and spoke calmly.
“Elder Cantino, you’re fully aware of Andrew’s current strength. Do you really believe opposing him would change anything?”
Giovanni Cantino shot back angrily, “Even if Andrew were some divine being descended from heaven, does that mean he can do whatever he wants? The Eight Ancient Sects are bound together. If we unite, I refuse to believe we can’t stand against him.”
Dorothy’s voice remained clear and steady.
“I’ve just received word that Andrew has already destroyed the Umbral Peak Sect.”
A faint pause.
“The leader of the Divine Alchemists, Julius Bowen, was killed on the spot at Umbral Peak Sect. And Byron Ashby was also slain.”
Her gaze settled on Giovanni.
“Elder Cantino, do you still wish to object?”
Giovanni’s expression changed dramatically. Fear and disbelief flooded his face.
“Even someone as strong as Julius was killed? Is Andrew truly that terrifying?”
A faint, almost dreamy look flickered in Dorothy’s luminous eyes.
“The stronger Andrew is,” she said softly, “the more beneficial it is for the Harmony Sect, isn’t it?”
She folded her hands lightly.
“Charlotte has reached a critical bottleneck in her cultivation. For a long time, I’ve been unable to find a suitable partner for her breakthrough.”
Her smile deepened slightly.
“Now that Andrew has appeared—with Charlotte’s beauty and talent—I believe he won’t refuse.”
Giovanni fell silent.
Resentment burned in his chest, but he didn’t dare speak again. Compared to Julius, he was far weaker. If he confronted Andrew out of jealousy, it would only end in his death.
Dorothy’s tone sharpened.
“Then it’s settled.”
She looked around the hall.
“Have the disciples at the gates remain on high alert. The moment Andrew and his people arrive, inform me immediately. We will go out together to receive them.”
—
In the eastern region of Holtrien, a brutal battle had just concluded at Azure Gate.
Outside the fortress walls, bodies were scattered across the battlefield. The air reeked of blood and smoke.
Philip stood amid the aftermath, his face streaked with blood, his expression icy.
“Prepare the next defensive line,” he ordered. “These Dark Clans don’t fear death. They could attack again at any moment.”
His eyes hardened.
“And what is Alfredo doing at Swordhaven Keep? There’s been no movement from him at all, correct?”
Hearing the anger in Philip’s voice, Franz answered grimly.
“Mr. Topsfield Senior has shown no intention of taking action. Our men have requested his support multiple times, but he’s grown impatient.”
Franz hesitated.
“He made it clear that if we continue to disturb him, the sword in his hand won’t show mercy.”
Philip slammed his fist against the fortress wall.
“That arrogant rogue,” he spat. “So he truly intends to stand by and neglect his duty.”
He turned sharply.
“And Clarence? How are things on his end?”
This time, Franz allowed himself a small smile.
“Sir, we have good news. Clarence and his team have already left the Umbral Peak Sect. They’re bringing disciples from both the Umbral Peak Sect and the Divine Alchemists to Azure Gate.”
A smile finally broke across Philip’s face.
“Clarence didn’t let me down after all.”
Franz shook his head.
“Clarence said it wasn’t him who persuaded them. Andrew personally went to Umbral Peak Sect and killed Byron.”
He paused briefly.
“And Julius… he was killed by Andrew with a single strike.”
Philip’s head snapped toward him.
“Andrew killed Julius?”
