Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3309
“This is bad,” Nyx said quickly, her voice tight. “That sword energy is too strong. Andrew might get pushed out of the mountain gate.”
But Andrew let out a low roar.
With a violent shove, he drove his greatsword forward.
The explosive force forced his body slightly ahead, and the stone slabs behind him shattered backward for hundreds of feet. Cracks spidered across the plaza as debris flew.
At last, he stopped Rupert’s third wave of sword energy.
He was not forced out of the mountain gate.
Rupert’s shock turned to fury.
Three strikes.
And Andrew was still standing without a scratch.
Being pushed back meant nothing. To outsiders, it would look as though the Thunder Sect’s mountain defense formation was nothing remarkable.
The disciples exchanged uneasy glances.
Could the formation actually be broken?
Had something gone wrong?
They remembered when a prominent figure from the Northern Martial Union had once provoked the Thunder Sect. A single strike from the formation had sent him flying, coughing blood. He never fully recovered and died less than twenty years later, his martial arts forever stagnant.
But now?
The Lloyd family’s Dragon Prince looked almost relaxed.
“Again!” Rupert shouted, his face dark with anger.
He reorganized the disciples, ordering another coordinated release of sword energy.
Andrew had already shot back into the air. A strange, mystical gleam flickered in his eyes.
He slashed again—
Targeting the same spot as before.
This strike carried Primordial Thunder.
Countless red lightning bolts, like writhing electric serpents, crawled across every corner of the formation. The scene was strangely magnificent—yet chilling.
Suddenly—
A crisp shattering sound rang out across the plaza.
Rupert, who had raised his sword high and was about to strike, froze mid-motion.
Disbelief filled his eyes.
A sinister smile tugged at Andrew’s lips.
“So the core of your formation is here,” he said coldly. “I told you—it’s nothing special.”
He shot forward like a meteor, charging straight into the membrane with sword in hand.
He struck the same point again and again.
Every attack focused on that single location.
Andrew forced Godslayer directly into the barrier.
The cracking sounds grew louder.
Clearer.
Then everyone saw it—
The barrier was breaking where his blade had pierced it.
At the same time, a massive backlash surged into Andrew’s body. It felt like countless sword energies tearing through him from the inside out.
An ordinary martial god would have been shredded, bleeding from every pore.
Andrew didn’t even flinch.
He endured the torrent of sword energy ripping through him without so much as a tremor.
Then he roared.
The muscles across his body bulged violently.
Dragging Godslayer with him, he crashed downward toward the ground.
The mountain defense formation tore open under sheer brute force, splitting apart in a massive gash nearly sixty feet long.
The tear stretched from the sky, where Andrew had struck, all the way down to the plaza where he now stood.
He planted his greatsword firmly at his side.
The dense sword energy crackling around him snapped and faded into nothing.
“You…” Rupert panted heavily, his eyes bloodshot.
The Thunder Sect disciples stared as if they were looking at a demon, mouths hanging open in horror.
The formation—
Their sacred, invincible formation—
Had been ripped apart.
And in such a violent way.
Andrew lifted his sword slightly and said coldly, “I’ll give you one last chance. Kneel.”
Rupert roared back, “You want me to kneel? Even if the head of the Lloyd royal family stood here—even if the heavens themselves descended—none of them would be worthy! I am the leader of the Thunder Sect! One of the Eight Ancient Sects! You think someone like you deserves my kneel?”
Andrew didn’t waste another second on his rant.
He slashed down.
Without the protection of the mountain defense formation, the strike fell like a meteor smashing into the earth.
The overwhelming sword arc detonated at the center of the Thunder Sect’s buildings.
In an instant, a sacred land that had stood for a thousand years was reduced to ruins and ash.
The entire mountain range trembled violently.
Rupert’s eyes widened with rage as he roared toward the sky.
“Andrew! I will fight you to the death!”
