Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3308

“Andy, we probably can’t step in,” Jerome said urgently, eyes fixed on Andrew’s back.

Andrew didn’t turn around. His voice remained calm.

“Don’t worry. Just stay farther back.”

    Godslayer slid from its sheath.

Gripping the sword with both hands, Andrew charged forward in a brutal assault.

The massive black-and-crimson sword arc slammed directly into the formation-enhanced sword energy summoned by Rupert.

Blinding white light exploded across the plaza.

It was so intense no one could keep their eyes open.

When the light finally faded, Andrew stood with his legs braced wide, now holding his sword in one hand. He had only slid back about thirty feet.

    That was all.

    He was completely unharmed.

“It seems the Thunder Sect’s mountain defense formation isn’t that impressive,” Andrew said flatly as he lifted his greatsword and straightened.

Suspended in midair, Rupert let out a cold laugh.

“Don’t rush to conclusions. That was just the appetizer. The real show is coming.”

Andrew’s gaze turned icy. “In a moment, I’ll make you watch yourself kneel.”

    Rupert’s face darkened with fury.

    “You’re welcome to try.”

With a sharp snort, he slashed down again.

The thousand disciples moved as one, their swords dancing in perfect coordination as another surge of a thousand sword energies erupted.

The mountain defense formation was terrifying.

Even a peak martial god wouldn’t dare face it head-on and would instead avoid its edge.

Its true strength lay in unity—one thousand streams of sword energy merged together, turning trickles into a raging torrent.

    Andrew’s eyes grew colder.

Gripping Godslayer, he shot straight into the air.

Before the second wave could fully descend, he unleashed three consecutive slashes in rapid succession, sweeping wildly around him.

Massive sword beams formed a semicircle, crashing toward the Thunder Sect from multiple directions.

But a translucent, gleaming barrier slowly materialized around the sect.

Andrew’s attacks dissolved against it as if swallowed by water.

    Rupert burst into laughter.

“Andrew, it’s useless. The Thunder Sect formation excels at both offense and defense. Alone, you’re nothing more than a cornered beast.”

The overwhelming sword energy surged toward Andrew again.

This time, he didn’t meet it head-on.

He flashed through the air at blinding speed, leaving a trail of afterimages in his wake.

But the massive energy sword, forged from a thousand blades, pursued him relentlessly.

In an instant, it shattered every afterimage.

Then it exploded with a thunderous roar.

Rupert laughed loudly. “How does that feel?”

    The explosion faded.

    Andrew was gone.

He reappeared elsewhere in the sky, expression unchanged.

    Outwardly, Rupert sneered.

    Inwardly, he was shaken.

Two waves of coordinated formation strikes—and Andrew remained untouched.

    That was absurd.

Rupert knew the mountain defense formation better than anyone. With him personally directing it, no one should have walked away unscathed.

But the Thunder Sect hadn’t faced a true enemy in a hundred years.

Andrew shot higher into the sky.

Black-and-crimson light flared in his eyes.

    Killing intent gathered on Godslayer.

Above, a swirling vortex formed, and Primordial Thunder crashed down, binding itself to the greatsword.

    Andrew raised it high—

Then slashed downward with crushing force.

    But his target wasn’t Rupert.

Nor was it the thousand disciples.

He aimed directly at the outer membrane of the formation.

Beyond that barrier lay the Thunder Sect’s mountain grounds—serene, beautiful, like a hidden paradise.

    Rupert roared in fury.

“Andrew! You want to destroy the Thunder Sect? Keep dreaming!”

He swung his heavy sword wildly.

The disciples roared in unison, unleashing countless sword energies once more. Guided by Rupert, the attacks surged toward Andrew.

Two thunderous explosions erupted in quick succession.

The first was Andrew’s Primordial Thunder strike.

Dark red lightning tore violently across the translucent barrier.

The membrane bulged outward in a massive arc, stretching like living flesh on the verge of rupture. Dense red lightning crawled across its surface in furious streaks.

    But it did not break.

At the same time, Rupert’s attack arrived.

Andrew spun Godslayer rapidly before him, forming a circular defensive blur.

Then he collided head-on with the incoming torrent of sword energy.

    The impact forced him backward.

He slid across the air, pushed continuously toward the Thunder Sect’s mountain gate.
