Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3295
Sheena stepped back and said coldly, “You’re pathetic. If you were part of the Lloyd family, I would’ve cut you down a long time ago.”
“That’s enough,” Andrew said calmly. “Now that everything’s out in the open, bring Patriarch Pablo out.”
Under the stunned stares of the Hearst family, Pablo was helped forward from the Lloyd ranks.
His face was deathly pale, and he coughed without stopping. A special bandage wrapped around his neck, stained dark with blood. And yet—against all expectations—he was clearly alive.
Even more shocking, his steps were steady.
That alone rattled the entire crowd.
Zavian broke down instantly. Tears streamed down his face as he dropped to his knees and rushed forward. “Father! You—”
Pablo raised a hand and cut him off, his voice hoarse but firm. “Zavian, apologize to Andrew. Now.”
Zavian froze. “Father… why should I apologize?”
“Because he spared your life,” Pablo said sharply. “And he saved mine.”
The humiliation Zavian had suffered earlier vanished in an instant. Seeing his father alive wiped everything else from his mind. Overwhelmed with relief, he turned to Andrew.
“Andrew, I was ignorant. Thank you for saving my father.”
Jeffery, the gray-haired Martial God, and more than a dozen Hearst elders rushed over, surrounding Pablo.
“Patriarch Pablo!”
“You’re alive—that’s incredible!”
“The Hearst family still has hope!”
Several of the younger members broke down in tears. The women wept openly, unable to contain their emotions.
Sheena snorted and muttered to Andrew, “I’m heading back. We shouldn’t have brought Patriarch Pablo out. I wanted to see just how arrogant the Hearst family really was.”
Jeffery’s face flushed red as he stepped forward and bowed deeply.
“This misunderstanding was entirely the Hearst family’s fault. I was wrong—deeply wrong. Please forgive me.”
He moved to kneel, but Andrew quickly stopped him with a faint smile.
“Elder Jeffery, that’s not necessary. As long as you don’t hold Guillermo’s death against me, that’s enough.”
Jeffery fell silent for a moment before nodding firmly.
“What I said earlier was sincere. But Andrew, you’ve made me see you in a completely new light. You’ve earned my respect. Perhaps this was simply Guillermo’s fate—a strong man crushed by someone stronger. I may be old-fashioned, but I understand the grudge between you.”
At that moment, Pablo spoke again, his voice rough but steady.
“Have the Hearst army prepare. The warriors will not return to the Hearstlands. They will march directly to the eastern Azure Gate.”
Jeffery’s expression shifted. “We’re joining the war as well?”
“First, it’s what I promised Andrew,” Pablo replied. “Second, when the nation faces crisis, everyone has a duty. As one of the three great royal families, the Hearst family must lead by example.”
He paused briefly.
“And I have one more decision.”
Jeffery’s heart skipped. He had a feeling he already knew what was coming.
Pablo’s voice deepened.
“From this day forward, the Hearst family will recognize Andrew as the supreme leader of Holtrien. In the coming war between the Eastern and Western continents, we will follow Andrew’s command alone.”
Shock swept through the Hearst leadership.
They all knew Guillermo had once aspired to become Holtrien’s supreme leader. In the end, he had only become national advisor. The gap between national advisor and supreme ruler was immeasurable.
And yet this young man had achieved what Guillermo never could.
Pablo, as patriarch, had spoken first—voluntarily pledging allegiance.
Was Holtrien’s destiny about to shift?
Sharp minds like Jeffery’s understood that a massive transformation was likely on the horizon.
But none of them hesitated.
One after another, they bowed.
Andrew had eliminated Guillermo, saved Pablo, and chosen reconciliation over destruction. Those actions alone were enough to win the Hearst family’s complete loyalty.
A thunderous roar echoed across the field.
“The Hearst family acknowledges Mr. Lloyd as the supreme leader of Holtrien!”
