Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3292
With Nyx entering the fray, the pressure on Sheena vanished almost instantly.
She had already been burning with anger. Now, freed from restraint, she launched a relentless assault on Zavian.
Zavian roared and swung his massive blade with brutal force. Sheena didn’t retreat. With precise timing, she struck at the weakest points in the blade’s momentum using her bare hands, disrupting his power at its source.
Despite his fury over Pablo’s death, Zavian couldn’t ignore the shock building inside him.
Sheena—one of the Lloyd family’s twin prodigies—was no lightweight.
She pressed forward. Her leg whipped toward his flank. Zavian reacted quickly, raising his blade to block. But in the next instant, Sheena’s palm flashed across his face.
Smack.
The impact sent him spinning twice in midair before he crashed to the ground.
He wiped blood from the corner of his mouth, aura surging violently as he prepared to unleash his full strength.
Meanwhile, Nyx was toying with the gray-haired Martial God.
The elder’s seniority within the Hearst family was even higher than Pablo’s or Jeffery’s, and that prestige had inflated both his temper and his ego. But in raw combat ability, he ranked at the bottom among the Hearst family’s Martial Gods.
Nyx casually thrust her glowing blue dagger toward his chest.
“Come on!” the old man roared, striking forward with full force. In his mind, assassins were weak in direct combat. One clean hit would cripple her.
His strike passed straight through her—
—and shattered nothing but an afterimage that dissolved like smoke.
His eyes widened.
Too late.
Pain exploded across his back.
Nyx’s dagger had already pierced half an inch into his flesh. One more push, and he would lose half his life instantly.
“Don’t move,” Nyx said coldly. “If you move again, I’ll ignore my husband’s order and end you.”
Her killing intent was unmistakable.
The old Martial God’s voice trembled. “Your husband… who is he?”
Nyx’s lips curved slightly. “The very Andrew Lloyd your family is so eager to kill.”
His heart lurched.
He had never imagined Andrew had someone like this at his side. The Hearst family had clearly underestimated him.
From the distant camp, Jeffery saw the situation shift and his face darkened. The Hearst experts were equally stunned.
Zavian forced Sheena back with a powerful strike, retreating several yards before roaring, “Let him go!”
Nyx shot him a cold glance.
“And who exactly are you to give me orders?”
Zavian’s rage flared. He was about to curse—but when he truly looked at her, he froze.
Golden hair shimmered under the light. Deep blue eyes gleamed like ice. Her beauty was devastating.
For a split second, his heart skipped.
Grinding his teeth, he forced his voice steady. “If the Lloyd family won’t release him… what do you want?”
With his elder hostage, he couldn’t act freely.
Nyx didn’t even look at him.
To her, he might as well not exist.
The dismissal cut deeper than any blade.
The gray-haired Martial God roared in frustration, “If you’re going to kill me, do it! No man of the Hearst family is a coward! Zavian, attack! Don’t worry about me!”
Zavian hesitated.
Abandoning his own elder was unthinkable.
At that moment, Andrew stepped forward calmly.
“Nyx. Let him go.”
In a blur, Nyx withdrew her dagger and returned to Andrew’s side.
When Zavian saw that, bitterness flickered in his eyes.
So she really was Andrew’s woman.
He couldn’t stop the thought: I want a woman like that.
He straightened, raising his voice to sound imposing.
“You’re the Lloyd family’s Dragon Prince? Andrew Lloyd?”
Andrew met his gaze evenly. “I am. I’d like to speak with Elder Jeffery.”
Zavian sneered. “What’s left to talk about? You killed my father. This ends in a fight to the death.”
“That’s right!” the gray-haired Martial God barked. “A fight to the death!”
Andrew smiled faintly.
“A fight to the death?” His tone was calm, almost amused. “If that were truly the case, your heads would already be on the ground.”
His gaze swept across them.
“I’m not belittling your family. But as things stand, no matter how you play this, you’re not a match for the Lloyd family.”
Behind him, morale in the Lloyd camp surged. With Andrew present, the tide had clearly shifted.
Zavian’s expression hardened.
“What arrogance,” he shot back. “You think my family’s disciples can’t handle the Lloyds? Andrew—do you really believe you alone can stop the entire Hearst army?”
