Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3290

Zavian was known throughout the Hearstlands as the Little Overlord—brutal, razor-sharp, and relentlessly aggressive.

The massive blade in his hands carved through the air with crushing force. In the very first exchange, two Lloyd family department heads coughed up blood and were driven backward. The other two felt their hearts drop and rushed in at once, afraid Zavian would seize the opening and finish them off.

Zavian’s eyes were bloodshot, his jaw clenched tight. Every strike carried killing intent. With the raw power of a Martial God behind him, he forced the Lloyd department heads back step by step.

Then a cold snort cut through the chaos.

    Sheena arrived with the others.

“Fall back,” she said evenly. “I’ll handle him.”

She stepped forward without hesitation, replacing the department heads. Zavian didn’t slow down. His blade came crashing down with overwhelming force.

Sheena drew a deep breath and thrust her palms upward.

The impact thundered across the field.

Both were the leading figures of their families’ younger generations. When they clashed, neither yielded an inch. Power met power, perfectly matched.

Inside the Hearst family’s main camp, with Pablo gone, authority had fallen to Jeffery Hearst.

He was roughly Donovan’s contemporary, equal in seniority. The difference was clear—while the Lloyd family still depended on Donovan’s leadership, the Hearst royal family had long since passed real power to Pablo.

    Now Pablo was dead.

Jeffery’s face was rigid with grief. His fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned pale. The muscles in his stern face twitched.

“Pablo fell at Chetvine,” he said hoarsely. “Killed by that boy, Andrew. The Lloyd family has gone too far.”

Below him, the Hearst family’s experts clamored for war.

    “Elder Jeffery, let us fight!”

“Let’s go to war with the Lloyd family!”

“The Hearstlands may not interfere in Chetvine’s disputes—but that doesn’t mean we fear anyone!”

“It’s time the Lloyd family remembers who we are!”

“Since Patriarch Pablo is gone, we go all in! Sweep through Chetvine and destroy the Lloyd royal family!”

    The fury was overwhelming.

    Jeffery slowly shook his head.

“Justice must be sought,” he said heavily. “But an all-out war? That cannot happen.”

A gray-haired Martial God stepped forward, his grief boiling over into rage.

“Jeffery, what are you hesitating for? Before Pablo left, he entrusted the family to you because he trusted you. Now he lies cold in the ground—and you would do nothing?”

Jeffery’s voice trembled despite his effort to stay composed.

“Pablo was the core of our clan. If I could trade places with him, I would. But what’s done is done.

“And have you forgotten his final instructions? We are not to hold the Lloyd family accountable. We are not to seek revenge.”

    The gray-haired Martial God exploded.

“Bullshit! You said it yourself—Pablo was the backbone of the Hearst royal family! Our patriarch! And now he’s been killed by a junior from the Lloyd family—by that fiend Andrew!

“Are there no real men left in the Hearstlands? Have we become cowards? Since when has the Hearst family feared anyone? We strike back!”

    His words ignited the crowd.

“Attack them! Fight to the death!”

“With Reginald gone, the Lloyd family only has Andrew, Sheena, and a couple of old relics. They can’t stand against us!”

“Give the order, Elder Jeffery! If you don’t, the warriors of the Hearstlands will lose heart!”

Jeffery stood frozen, torn between grief and responsibility.

But the gray-haired Martial God had no patience left.

“If you won’t decide, Jeffery, then I will.”

His voice was laced with killing intent.

“I’ll start by taking a few Lloyd department heads. We can talk reason afterward.”
