Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3286
Chet was covered in dirt and dust, his face pale and drawn. The moment he crawled out, he spat out a heavy mouthful of blood.
He was a peak martial god as well—second only to Cormac within the Cavendish royal family. And while his rank placed him beneath Cormac, the gap in their strength wasn’t much at all.
But Andrew’s first strike had landed at full force.
Chet hadn’t been able to withstand even one blow.
“Cormac!” he called out, his voice trembling—laced with fear, disbelief, and panic.
Cormac ignored him. He stared straight at Andrew, the energy in his body surging and faltering unpredictably. He didn’t know whether he still dared to fight—or whether he even could.
Andrew spoke flatly. “Take off your mask.”
Cormac roared, “Andrew, what are you trying to do? Do you really think Holtrien belongs to you just because you killed Guillermo—”
A cold glint flashed in Andrew’s eyes.
“I’ll say it one more time. Take off your mask.
“Or at least one of you dies here today.”
Cormac howled, “Are you trying to start an all-out war with the Cavendish royal family?”
Andrew sneered, his foot still grinding Guillermo’s head into the dirt. Without even turning around, he swung his sword.
A massive blade of sword energy tore upward like a war banner and slashed toward Chet.
Chet didn’t even have time to dodge. With a desperate roar, he threw his hands up to block.
Blood burst from his mouth.
The impact hurled him back over a hundred yards. He slammed into Chetvine’s city wall, then slid down slowly, his face drained of all color.
“Stop!” Cormac finally panicked, shouting in alarm.
His right hand trembling, he pulled down the black cloth covering his face.
It revealed a handsome, square-jawed face twisted with rage—and dread.
Andrew let out a cold laugh, thick with mockery.
“Even now, your lives are in my hands. Even if you two escape Chetvine—if it comes to war, what exactly do I have to fear from the Cavendish royal family?”
Cormac clenched his teeth. Cold sweat gathered on his forehead.
“Why?” he demanded hoarsely. “How did your injuries heal so suddenly? And how did you break through to Beyond Mortal Limits?”
Andrew’s voice was indifferent. “That’s none of your concern.”
His greatsword shifted, the blade settling against Guillermo’s neck.
Guillermo was already consumed by humiliation, his face twisted in pain. He roared, “Brat! If you’re going to kill me, then do it! I’ve fought you this long—I’ve already accepted death!”
Andrew’s lips curled in disdain.
“If you’d truly accepted death, you wouldn’t have run.
“You’re going to die. But it won’t be quick.”
As the words fell, a thin red bolt of lightning dropped from his palm and pierced Guillermo’s remaining eye.
In an instant, both eyes were destroyed. Bloody cavities replaced them—grotesque and horrifying.
Guillermo’s scream ripped through the air once again.
At that moment, Sheena, Luna, Bridget, Nyx, Sergio, Jerome, Brielle, and Eric arrived.
They stopped about ten yards away, not stepping any closer.
As they watched Guillermo descend into madness under Andrew’s hand, cold smiles spread across their faces.
Cormac could no longer endure it.
“Andrew!” he roared in fury. “No matter what, Guillermo was once Holtrien’s national advisor. If you’re going to kill him, then kill him. Humiliating him like this—doesn’t that disgrace your position as the Lloyd family’s Dragon Prince?”
