Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3285
Suspended in midair, Andrew’s face remained calm and unreadable. As his sword came crashing down, he dove straight after it.
Chet Cavendish—the martial god from the Cavendish royal family who had arrived moments later—took the blow head-on. The impact drove him straight into the ground. His face twisted in agony as he screamed, smashed deep into the earth.
“How did he get here so fast?” Cormac blurted, stunned.
Clutching Guillermo and Wesley, he turned and fled. But the instant he moved, Andrew was already at his side, his voice cold and stripped of emotion.
“Put them down, or you die too.”
Cormac let out a harsh laugh. “Perfect. I’ve always wanted to see the Dragon Prince of the Lloyd family in action. We failed to kill you before—but this time? We’ll see.”
His fighting spirit surged, fearless and unyielding.
Andrew adjusted his greatsword and slashed casually.
Cormac didn’t dare take it lightly. He knew if he didn’t respond with everything he had, he was dead.
There was no time to wonder how Andrew’s injuries had healed so quickly—or how his power felt even more terrifying than before.
Guillermo and Wesley screamed as they hit the ground.
Cormac looked up and shifted into a strange stance, raising both hands skyward as if lifting something invisible. Andrew’s descending strike unleashed towering waves of energy. The sword aura stretched over a hundred yards, crashing down toward Cormac’s head.
A massive phantom suddenly materialized above him.
Sword energy and phantom collided—and devoured each other.
Cormac spat out a violent spray of blood. Even so, he had managed to block the strike.
“How is that possible?” he gasped.
A scream tore through the air.
Cormac’s heart dropped. Andrew had moved on Guillermo and Wesley.
He shot forward like a bullet—but another sword strike came straight at him. The violent sword energy roared like a hurricane, shredding everything in its path.
Cormac roared and struck back again and again, each palm carrying earth-shaking force. At last, he shattered the sword energy.
When he finally caught his breath and looked over, his eyes burned with fury.
Wesley had already been cut to pieces. He hadn’t even had time to cry out.
Andrew’s greatsword flashed twice more.
With agonized groans, Guillermo’s arms exploded away from his body. He dropped to his knees like a discarded rag doll, unleashing a shrill, unbearable scream.
Andrew stepped down, his boot crushing Guillermo’s head into the dirt. Only then did he lift his ice-cold gaze toward Cormac.
Cormac’s throat went dry.
“Y-You…” he stammered, unable to form a sentence.
In mere moments, Andrew had crushed another powerhouse of the Cavendish family. Two sword strikes had forced Cormac into a corner, pressing down on him like the wrath of heaven itself.
This kind of power didn’t belong to a martial god—not even a peak martial god.
Cormac had always believed he could stand against any peak martial god alive. But Andrew was different.
He no longer dared to face him.
Andrew had already transcended the martial god realm. The way he had crossed several hundred yards in an instant proved it. That kind of speed, that kind of force—it went beyond what any human should be capable of.
There was only one explanation.
Andrew had stepped Beyond Mortal Limits.
Through coughing and labored breaths, Chet crawled out of the massive crater left by Andrew’s first strike.
