Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3284

    Cormac laughed coldly.

“Sheena, the gap between us is still far too wide. We’re both Martial Gods—but even with my hands full, you’re not qualified to challenge me.”

With that, he lifted Guillermo and Wesley half a body higher, shielding them.

    Then he twisted midair—

And took Sheena’s twin palm strikes directly on his back.

    The impact thundered.

But Sheena felt as though she had struck a mountain.

Her face went pale. A muffled groan escaped her lips as her arms trembled violently. The recoil blasted her backward through the air.

    A pale blue shadow flickered.

    Nyx.

With a sharp chime, she burst from behind Sheena’s retreating form. Her glowing dagger shot forward in a straight, merciless line—aimed at Guillermo.

    Cormac snorted.

A flash of cold light passed through his eyes.

Before anyone could see him move, a hardened layer of condensed energy formed in front of his chest.

    Nyx’s dagger struck it.

The blade shrieked as it ground against the barrier. She forced it forward with everything she had—but the resistance was crushing.

In the blink of an eye—no more than a breath—the clash had already carried them more than ten yards farther.

Cormac, still carrying two grown men, had already burst beyond Chetvine’s city wall.

    Nyx’s pupils contracted.

“Holtrien truly lives up to its name as a hidden superpower,” she muttered. “Their ancient martial artists are no weaker than the Western Dark Clans.”

    Anger flared—but she didn’t hesitate.

    She turned and gave chase.

Sheena, teeth clenched, followed without a word.

Outside Chetvine, beneath the cover of night, another figure surged forward.

Even from a distance, the rolling pressure of his aura made one thing clear—

    He was on Cormac’s level.

A bold, booming laugh shook the sky.

“You Lloyd royals may rule inside Chetvine—but step half a foot outside, and it’s over!”

    Cormac’s eyes lit up.

    Guillermo nearly wept with relief.

    He recognized that voice.

Another top expert of the Cavendish royal family.

With this man covering them, Guillermo’s survival was practically guaranteed. Killing him now would require a miracle.

Guillermo twisted around midair, face feral with hatred.

“Tell that brat Andrew this isn’t over!”

    Nyx’s expression darkened.

“Sheena. Stop chasing,” she said sharply. “There’s no chance now.”

Sheena’s chest heaved with fury. “Those bastards—!”

“Listen to me,” Nyx cut in. “If we keep going, we’ll be the ones at a disadvantage.”

After a tense moment, Sheena finally stopped.

Both women landed atop the city wall.

In the distance, Cormac met up with the newly arrived powerhouse. The two forces converged, then turned as one, preparing to descend into the darkness beyond Chetvine.

    They were about to vanish.

    Then—

A faint sound drifted from above.

    It was like a bell.

Or like wind moving through vast emptiness.

Sheena and Nyx looked up simultaneously.

A figure stood in the sky above them.

    Neither had sensed his arrival.

    In a single step—

He crossed the outer wall of Chetvine.

    Another step—

He spanned over five hundred yards, appearing directly above Cormac and the others.

    Then he struck.

    A single sword descended.

At first glance, it seemed plain.

But as it fell, it transformed.

It became like a surging river, endless and overwhelming.

Like divine thunder crashing down to cleanse the world.

The newcomer from the Cavendish side roared in terror—

    “Dodge! Now!”

    Gone was his earlier bravado.

Only gravity—and unmistakable fear—remained in his voice.

    Nyx and Sheena trembled.

    Joy surged through them.

They didn’t need to see his face.

    They knew.

Bridget appeared beside them, her gaze lifting toward the towering figure in the sky.

A slow smile curved her lips.

“You can rest now,” she said softly. “Well done. As expected of Andrew’s people. You held them long enough.”

    Her eyes gleamed.

    “He’s here.”
