Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3279

Memories drifted through her mind like a quiet river.

She had thought she was long past all of it.

Yet when she looked at Andrew’s face, emotions surged without warning, deep and unrestrained.

Her fingers paused against his cheek, brushing it gently.

The young man before her resembled that man from years ago.

    And yet… he was different.

Reginald had flirted with every woman he met. The more unrestrained his youth had been, the lonelier his later years became.

That was why he had gone overseas and devoted himself entirely to Andrew’s mother, working tirelessly for the rest of his life. Everyone else had been left behind.

    But Andrew—

    Andrew had chosen differently.

He had taken them all in.

If she had been her younger self, Bridget would have flown into a rage and severed all ties with him.

    Now, her mindset had changed.

This young man was passionate—but not faithless.

She had listened countless times as Luna spoke about her relationship with Andrew. Each sweet detail had stirred her heart like waves crashing against the shore.

This was her first time meeting him.

    Yet he felt strangely familiar.

More than that—she felt an instinctive closeness to him.

Lowering her head, Bridget let out a soft, self-mocking laugh.

“A man like Reginald actually raised a son so different from himself… That really is something.”

Suddenly, the faint red glow within Andrew’s body faded completely.

    Bridget jolted.

The Elixir of Immortality had fully merged with him.

She examined him closely. Every wound had healed without a trace.

The power of the Elixir was astonishing.

But healing was merely its most trivial effect.

For a Heaven Pill of this caliber, restoration was only the beginning.

A massive surge of energy still raged within Andrew’s body.

If it was not properly guided, that power would tear him apart from the inside—far more brutally than his previous injuries ever could.

That was why Bridget had come in person.

The true strength of the Rainveil Sect did not lie in medicine—

    but in what came next.

She inhaled deeply, steadying her breath.

Yet a trace of hesitation flickered through her heart.

At last, she murmured softly to herself:

“Everything belongs to the past now. Bridget… you’ve taken a new name. You should let it go.”

Then, with a faint flush coloring her cheeks, she added under her breath,

“Besides… this is your future son-in-law.”

A charming smile curved her lips.

She lowered her head and slowly drew out a glass-like bead from her mouth.

It shimmered faintly under the light.

This was the Rainveil Sect’s greatest treasure—the sacred symbol passed down through generations to each sect leader. The sect had always followed a single lineage.

And now, she was its head.

Her eyes flicked toward Andrew again.

    She blushed.

Carefully, she removed a white silk handkerchief and wiped the bead clean with meticulous attention.

Only then did she gently place it into Andrew’s mouth.

With two precise taps along his neck, she sealed the acupoints to prevent him from swallowing it.

    Her voice turned solemn.

“Andrew… now I will use the power of the Elixir of Immortality to help you break through to Beyond Mortal Limits.”

Her fingers hovered near his meridians, ready to guide the surging force within him.

“Whether you succeed or not, I will do everything I can.”

    She paused briefly.

“But in the end… it will still depend on you.”
