Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3269
Guillermo leaned in close to Andrew’s ear and laughed.
“How about that? Now you understand—you can’t beat me.”
Andrew turned his head slightly, just enough to look at him.
“Do you know what you look like right now?”
Guillermo snorted and pressed harder against the wound in Andrew’s chest. Andrew’s calm expression—even now—infuriated him.
Andrew let out a faint laugh. “You look like a cornered animal. Even a rabbit bites when it’s trapped. Sure, you’re stronger than a rabbit… but not by much.”
Guillermo roared, veins bulging across his forehead. “Andrew, your life is in my hands! Get on your knees!”
Andrew chuckled softly. “Kneel? Do you really deserve that?”
Suddenly, the hand gripping the sword shifted.
Without warning, Andrew reversed his grip and thrust backward.
Guillermo had been careful. He stayed behind Andrew to avoid a frontal counterattack. He had restrained one of Andrew’s arms, making sure he couldn’t turn.
But this strike came from the one direction Guillermo never expected.
Andrew drove the blade straight into his own body first.
The Godslayer pierced through flesh and bone—through Andrew’s chest—
And continued forward.
It stabbed directly into Guillermo behind him.
Even the black battle armor couldn’t withstand the blade’s edge.
In a single brutal motion, the two men were impaled together.
Guillermo’s face turned crimson. Disbelief flooded his eyes. He choked violently and spat out a mouthful of blood.
Slowly, trembling, he looked down.
The Godslayer had pierced through his abdomen.
Blood poured from beneath the black armor. A wet, broken sound rattled in his throat.
With a furious snarl, Guillermo slammed his palm into Andrew and shoved him away.
But in that instant, Andrew exploded with strength.
With his only working arm, he wrapped it tightly around Guillermo’s neck. Using the force of the shove, he dragged Guillermo down with him.
They crashed to the ground together.
“You’re asking to die!” Guillermo screamed hysterically.
The Godslayer slipped free from their bodies and clattered to the ground nearby.
Guillermo rolled on top, straddling Andrew. He raised his fist and brought it down with terrifying force toward Andrew’s skull.
Andrew’s eyes narrowed, blazing with madness and bloodlust.
At the last possible second, he twisted his head aside.
The punch smashed into the ground where his skull had been.
Without hesitation, Andrew drove his knee upward with everything he had left.
It slammed directly into Guillermo’s abdomen.
Guillermo howled, his face contorting as he instinctively clutched the wound.
Andrew seized the moment.
He crossed his legs and locked them tightly around Guillermo’s neck. With a hoarse roar, he twisted his waist and unleashed every last ounce of strength in his body.
Blood sprayed violently from the gaping wound in his chest.
Luna stood frozen, tears streaming down her face. She felt numb.
This was no longer a fight.
It was a struggle to the death.
Even with Andrew on the brink of collapse, she didn’t dare step closer. At her level, even the shockwaves from their clash could have torn her apart instantly.
The two men rolled across the ground again and again, locked together.
Guillermo’s fists pounded down on Andrew’s body, over and over.
“Let go!” he roared in panic and fury. “Let go of me!”
