Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3263
Andrew let out a sharp snort. “Spit it out.”
Lorenzo rushed to speak. “I’m hoping that once you hear this, you’ll spare Mikayla and me.”
Andrew’s voice was flat. “So you came here begging for mercy? You must think this information is valuable enough for me to let you both off the hook.”
Lorenzo hesitated. “It’s extremely important to you. If you promise not to go after Mikayla and me, I’ll tell you everything. No holding back.”
Andrew sneered. “Mr. Owens Senior, if you’d been honest from the start, I might’ve considered it.
“But now? Too late. I don’t feel like sparing you anymore.”
Lorenzo’s expression shifted as he shouted, “Andrew, don’t be reckless. If you refuse to hear this, you’ll regret it.”
Andrew didn’t bother responding. “Sheena. Nyx. Entertain our guests.”
A flash of blue light flared in Nyx’s hand. Lorenzo’s remaining arm hit the ground with a sickening thud.
He froze for a split second—then a bloodcurdling scream tore out of him. He collapsed, thrashing across the floor. “My arm! My arm! It hurts—God, it hurts!
“Help me! Please, I’m begging you—save me!”
The sheer brutality of it nearly made Mikayla faint. Her body shook uncontrollably as tears streamed down her face. She dropped to her knees in front of Andrew.
“Andrew, please—spare me. Spare us. We’ve learned our lesson. I’m begging you, don’t kill me. Please don’t kill me!”
Andrew’s lips curved into a cold smile. “Fine. I can spare you. But between you and your father, I’m only saving one. So tell me—do you choose yourself, or your dad?”
Mikayla’s face drained of color.
She looked at Lorenzo, writhing in agony on the floor. Then she swallowed hard and rasped, “Andrew… do you really have to be this cruel?”
Andrew’s voice turned glacial. “Mikayla, you did this to yourself. If I’m ruthless, why didn’t you think about today when you betrayed me? Your father even tried to have me killed. Why shouldn’t I kill him? Should I thank him instead?”
Mikayla screamed, “Fine! I choose myself!”
Her voice cracked. “Andrew, I was wrong. From now on, whatever you tell me to do, I’ll do it. If someone has to die… then kill my dad.
“I don’t want to die. I want to live.”
She broke down, sobbing uncontrollably.
Mockery flickered across Andrew’s face. Sheena and the others looked at Mikayla with open disgust. The so-called golden daughter of the Owens family was nothing but a coward when it counted.
Lorenzo, barely conscious and consumed by pain, heard his daughter’s words—and blacked out.
Sheena’s voice cut through the room, icy and sharp. “Speak. Your father’s useless—he’s out cold. So tell us.
“Why did you and your father come to the Lloyd family?”
Mikayla shot a cautious glance at Andrew before answering. “Andrew… my dad just came back from Mr. Vazquez’s place. Mr. Vazquez is probably planning to flee Chetvine.”
Shock rippled through the room. No one had expected Guillermo to make that move.
Sheena acted immediately. “Andy, I’ll take the Lloyd family’s department heads and cut him off. If he escapes, it’ll be a disaster.”
Nyx’s expression darkened. “Honey, we have to kill Guillermo. That man is a walking threat.”
Andrew’s eyes turned ice-cold as he spoke quickly and decisively. “Sheena, Nyx—you both go. Send word to the Reyes and Robertson families. Have those two houses dispatch their top fighters. Lock down every exit out of Chetvine.
“If that old fox thinks he can run, he’s wrong.”
