Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3210

    Sheena’s eyes turned icy.

“Grandpa, let me kill him,” she said coldly. “This bastard actually thinks that because we’re being civil, he’s someone important.”

    Kelvin shrugged lazily.
“Ms. Lloyd, you and I are the same type of people — reckless. You could kill me right now and not lose a wink of sleep. But I have a better idea.”

He grinned, the expression sharp and vicious.

“Let’s change locations. Open duel. Life and death.”

    His gaze locked onto her.

“Let’s see whether one of the Lloyd family’s twin prodigies dies by my hand.”

The aggression came without warning — sudden, feral.

Kelvin was absolutely certain of one thing: the Lloyd family would never allow Sheena to take that risk.

His life meant nothing. If he died, so be it.

But if anything happened to Sheena?

Half the Lloyd family’s foundation would crumble. The future of the family rested heavily on her shoulders.

Sure enough, the elders’ expressions darkened immediately. Several stepped forward.

“If Mr. Nieves wants to gamble with his life,” one of them said coldly, “then we’ll play.”

“Our lives are cheaper than hers. Let’s see who’s afraid.”

Kelvin abruptly stepped back, raising his hands as if startled — though his eyes gleamed with mockery.

    “Sorry. You’re not qualified.”

    His voice dripped with disdain.

“Know your place. What’s my status? What’s yours? Why would I gamble my life with a bunch of nobodies?”

The department heads’ eyes turned glacial.

In front of Donovan, he acted like a clown.

In front of Sheena, he was willing to risk his life.

But in front of them, he hid behind status and hierarchy.

    Shameless. Calculating. Untouchable.

This kind of man was the hardest to deal with.

    Even Donovan’s expression darkened.

Were they really going to let Kelvin run wild at the gates of the Lloyd estate?

    —

Just then, footsteps sounded from a side path.

Andrew strolled in leisurely, hands behind his back, as though he were taking a morning walk.

“It’s early,” he said lazily. “And Mr. Nieves is already in high spirits, making noise at my doorstep. Must be something earth-shattering.”

    Kelvin’s eyes flashed sharply.

    The rogue grin vanished.

“You little bastard,” he snarled. “Finally decided to show your face? I thought you’d hide forever.”

    Several department heads snapped.

    “Watch your mouth!”

    “Let’s kill him right now!”

    “We’ve been too patient!”

    Andrew simply smiled.

He stopped directly in front of Kelvin, unhurried.

“Oh, I understand,” Andrew said lightly. “This is about that dead waste of space — Skylar, right?”

    He tilted his head slightly.

“Too bad you weren’t there. You missed quite a show.”

    Kelvin’s jaw tightened.

Andrew continued casually, as if reminiscing.

“He dropped to his knees and begged me to spare him.”

    “I said no.”

“So he promised to give me the highest respect — called me ‘Your Majesty.’”

The sneer on Kelvin’s face twisted into something ugly.

Andrew didn’t even look at him.

“I barely lifted a finger. Just a light tap.”
He lifted his hand slightly, mimicking the motion.
“Put a hole right between his eyes.”

    Silence fell.

“I’ll give him this,” Andrew added with a faint smirk. “At least he had manners at the end.”

“He said you’re a fraud. All that tough-guy posturing? Apparently, you’ve been beaten every time you’ve stepped up. Never once came out on top.”

    Flames ignited in Kelvin’s eyes.

“Are you telling me,” he said slowly, dangerously, “that Skylar said that before he died?”

    Andrew spread his hands.

    “Swear on my life.”

    “He said plenty while begging.”

“He even called me ‘Your Majesty.’”

    Andrew’s smile sharpened.

“So by his own words, I outrank you. I outrank your father. That makes me superior to the head of the Sylvan Peaks’ Nieves family.”

    He leaned slightly closer.

“The hierarchy seems pretty clear, doesn’t it?”
