Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3200
Eric’s body went rigid, stunned.
Skylar was dead. Just like that.
He was a member of the Nieves family of Sylvan Peaks. The only reason Eric had held back earlier was because of Skylar’s powerful background. And yet Andrew had killed him as easily as crushing an ant.
And the consequences went far beyond that.
Killing was strictly forbidden inside the Martial Tower. If someone died without legitimate cause, it would trigger a military tribunal.
Holtrien was filled with martial artists, but no one dared openly defy the military—the most powerful institution in the nation. Even Julius, notorious for his arrogance, avoided clashing with the military whenever he came to Chetvine.
Jerome stepped forward quickly, his expression grave. “Andy, we need to head back to the Lloyd estate. This is going to cause a storm. If we prepare before facing Guillermo, our chances will be much better.”
Andrew shook his head. “It’s just one dead man. There’s no need for a war. Besides, Guillermo is nothing.”
He paused, his tone flat and dismissive.
“He’s not even worth calling it a war.”
Even Jerome was taken aback.
In his mind, Andrew wasn’t some reckless, lawless hothead who overestimated himself. So why did he sound so dangerously indifferent?
Just then, someone noticed the commotion inside.
One of Skylar’s lackeys pushed through the doorway. The moment he saw Skylar’s corpse, he let out a shrill scream and bolted.
“Murder! There’s been a murder! Somebody get in here!”
Within moments, the soldiers on duty were alerted. Others who had come to the Martial Tower to train rushed over as well.
Soon, the room where Andrew and the others stood was completely surrounded.
Leading the military personnel was a major—Bryan Johnson. His face was dark with fury.
“Killing is forbidden in the Martial Tower,” he snapped. “Damn it—what were you thinking? Arrest them all and take them in for trial!”
He recognized Skylar immediately—Lorenzo’s future son-in-law and a member of the Nieves family from Sylvan Peaks.
And now Guillermo and the Nieves family were strengthening their alliance. The death of someone like Skylar meant serious trouble for the military.
When Bryan’s eyes landed on Andrew, his anger only intensified.
Andrew raised a hand slightly and looked at him calmly. “I’m the one who killed him. There’s no need to take everyone. Just take me.”
Bryan exploded. “How dare you speak like that at a time like this? All three of you were present—you’re all coming with me. If you resist, I will use extreme measures.”
A cold light flashed in Andrew’s eyes.
In an instant, his hand shot out.
Before Bryan could react, Andrew grabbed him by the collar and lifted him clean off the ground.
“I’m warning you—put me down!” Bryan shouted, panic creeping into his voice. “Do you have any idea what you’re doing? Assaulting a military officer inside the Martial Tower? Even if you’re from a royal family, you’ll face severe consequences!”
The surrounding trainees and martial artists erupted in shock.
Most of them didn’t recognize Andrew. They were part of the new generation—young fighters who had come to the Martial Tower to train. They had never witnessed the legend from years ago.
