Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3199
Eric said coldly, “You only had the guts to act because you’re hiding behind the Nieves family and because you were sure I wouldn’t dare kill you in Chetvine. That’s why you’ve been so brazen. But now I’m telling you—you’re finished.”
Skylar rose to his feet, a sinister smirk twisting across his face. “You bastard, you’re absolutely right. My family does have powerful backing. The chainmail I’m wearing is bulletproof and blade-proof. So what can you possibly do to me?”
He added with open contempt, “And I’m aligned with Mr. Vazquez’s faction now. A piece of trash like you can only stand there and watch. You can’t do a damn thing.”
Eric’s expression didn’t change. He simply stepped aside.
Skylar scoffed. “So you brought backup? Eric, it doesn’t matter who you brought. Even if it’s Sheena from the Lloyd family, let’s see if she dares to touch me at a time like this.”
But when he saw the person walking in wasn’t Sheena—it was Andrew—Skylar froze.
He sneered. “And who the hell are you?”
Andrew walked straight toward him, his voice calm and flat. “Two years ago, Kelvin of the Nieves family from Sylvan Peaks came to Chetvine to hunt me down. You might not know me, but he definitely does. Why don’t you call him?”
Skylar let out a cold snort. “What makes you think you’re worthy of calling him here? Wait… You said Uncle Kelvin hunted you two years ago? Then you’re—”
His face drained of color. His voice trembled.
“You’re Andrew. The Lloyd family’s Dragon Prince. The one who returned to Chetvine yesterday?”
Andrew didn’t respond. He stepped forward and slapped him.
Skylar roared, “Get away from me, you bastard! I wasn’t even coming for you, and now you’ve run straight to your own death!”
Grinding his teeth, he swung his fist at Andrew.
Andrew’s slap met his fist midair.
A sharp crack echoed through the room. Skylar’s wrist snapped instantly, jagged bone tearing through flesh. Blood splattered as fragments protruded from his arm. It was a horrifying sight.
A piercing scream ripped through the training room as Skylar clutched his shattered hand. The pain was so intense it nearly drove him insane.
“You bastard! You broke my hand! I’ll kill you!”
He still didn’t understand what he was dealing with.
With his uninjured hand, he reached behind his back, yanked out the dagger he carried, and slashed viciously at Andrew’s neck.
Andrew’s face remained expressionless.
He raised his hand and, with two fingers, lightly pinched the blade, stopping it cold.
Andrew tilted his head slightly, looking at Skylar—whose face had gone pale as death—as he desperately tried to pull the dagger free.
“You worthless piece of garbage,” Andrew said evenly. “How dare you act so arrogant in front of me? Whether now or two years ago, crushing you wouldn’t have taken any effort. I’ll ask you one last time—Is Kelvin in Chetvine?”
Skylar snarled, “You think I’ll tell you anything? Go ahead—try touching me again!”
Andrew withdrew his hand.
Then, in one smooth motion, he thrust it forward.
The light vanished from Skylar’s eyes.
His body dropped straight backward, eyes wide open.
His own dagger was embedded squarely in the center of his forehead.
Moments earlier, Andrew had plucked it away with two fingers. With a simple forward push, he drove it cleanly into the useless man’s skull.
In the blink of an eye, Andrew had killed him.
