Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3194
At that moment, Brielle’s eyes shimmered with moisture, her beauty impossibly captivating. She looked at Andrew tenderly and asked softly, “Andrew… are you scared?”
Andrew felt a little awkward and cleared his throat. “Uh, Madam Baxter, scared of what? You should hurry and change your veil. What if someone else sees you?”
Brielle let out a soft snort. “This is my private VIP room. Without my permission, no one will come in.”
She lowered her gaze slightly. “It’s been a very, very long time since anyone has seen my real face. Sometimes… even I feel like I’ve forgotten what I look like.”
Then she asked quietly, “Andrew, tell me honestly—have I aged? Am I still beautiful?”
Andrew smiled. “Madam Baxter, even though you have a child, to be honest, your skin is incredible. I can’t see any signs of aging at all. You’re a martial artist—advanced cultivation preserves youth. How should I put it? You look like a gorgeous woman in her early thirties at most.”
Brielle giggled softly, her cheeks flushing. “You’re as smooth as ever. But do you really think I’m still young?”
Andrew found it amusing. Indeed, women everywhere feared growing old.
And yet, Brielle truly did appear youthful. More than that, she possessed an irresistible, mature charm. Combined with her figure-hugging, high-slit dress and her perfectly proportioned body, she could easily captivate men of any age.
“Yes,” Andrew said calmly. “I’m not lying. You really are very young—and very beautiful.”
A subtle shift passed through Brielle’s eyes. After a moment, she spoke again, her voice quieter.
“Andrew, do you know… it’s been many years since I last felt this happy and relaxed.”
She continued slowly, “After finding Eric, my greatest wish in life was fulfilled. When Julius tried to force me back to the Divine Alchemists, I was prepared to fight him to the death without fear. In the end, he couldn’t do anything to me.”
Her gaze softened. “Now Eric improves day by day. Watching him grow stronger puts my heart at ease. Sometimes, I feel as though there’s nothing left in life for me to desire.”
She looked at Andrew directly. “And all of this is because of you. You’ve helped Eric and me so much.”
Her voice dropped even lower. “So I want to thank you… with everything I have.”
Andrew frowned slightly. Something felt off.
The Brielle he had known before was never like this. Today, she was unusually bold, her words filled with implication. Still, he didn’t overthink it. Brielle had always been a woman of extraordinary charm. Time had left few marks on her, and anyone capable of standing up to the Sovereign’s Apothecary could never be ordinary.
The fact that she once defied an arranged marriage and secretly gave birth to Eric proved she was rebellious and strong-willed at her core. Women like her didn’t easily reveal their vulnerability, nor did they fall for someone lightly.
But when they did… it meant that person truly mattered.
Andrew chuckled lightly. “Madam Baxter, I’ve already said—you don’t need to keep thanking me. Given our relationship, there’s no need to overthink things.”
Her face grew even redder.
After a brief hesitation, Brielle suddenly steeled herself. “Andrew, I want to give you my most important thing.”
She quickly added, “Don’t rush to refuse. This isn’t just gratitude. There’s another reason.”
Her voice trembled slightly. “It’s like I’ve never truly experienced the heart-racing thrill of love—or being with a man—in my entire life. The first half of my life was filled with pain and resentment.”
She inhaled deeply. “I want to try it now. Right now—while this indescribable joy of seeing you again is still here.”
Andrew’s expression stiffened.
Something was seriously wrong.
He stared at her in disbelief and asked cautiously, “Madam Baxter… what exactly do you want to try?”
