Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3189
That evening, a Lloyd family motorcade—no fewer than fifty vehicles—rolled toward the family’s flagship hotel. The procession had been personally arranged by Donovan for Andrew’s welcome banquet.
The sheer spectacle immediately drew attention.
Before long, the news spread like wildfire: the Lloyd family’s Dragon Prince had returned to Holtrien—and he was back in Chetvine.
The city erupted.
“It’s been two years…” someone exclaimed in disbelief. “Andrew is actually alive?”
“Two years ago, Guillermo mobilized so many forces to hunt him down,” another added. “Who could’ve imagined Andrew would survive that?”
A man sighed heavily. “Not only did he survive—he’s returned to Chetvine in such a high-profile way. Even an idiot can tell what that means.”
Someone scoffed. “You’re making it sound too dramatic. That brat barely scraped by for two years. What kind of threat could he really pose? Going up against Guillermo—a local powerhouse? He’s still far from ready.”
“That’s not necessarily true,” another voice countered.
“Andrew was never ordinary to begin with. Now he’s back in Chetvine openly, without hiding, and the Lloyd family isn’t concealing his return at all. That can only mean one thing—Guillermo might really be in serious trouble this time.”
Arguments rippled endlessly through the city.
Some insisted that Andrew couldn’t possibly have grown strong in just two years. Others argued that such an open, high-profile return meant he was confident enough to sweep everything aside—even someone as formidable as Guillermo.
Still, no one truly knew how terrifying Andrew had become.
Most believed Guillermo would take a hit. Few imagined that he might even risk his life.
At the Owens residence, Mikayla glared at Lorenzo, her face twisted with anger.
“Dad, Andrew is back?” she snapped. “He actually has the nerve to return to Chetvine?”
Lorenzo’s expression darkened slightly, but he still forced a smile.
“Mikayla, Skylar is here. Don’t make such a fuss.”
Sitting beside them was a handsome young man—Skylar Nieves, from the Nieves family of Holtrien’s Sylvan Peaks. He was currently dating Mikayla, and their wedding was approaching.
Two years earlier, the Nieves family had answered Guillermo’s call and participated in the siege against Andrew and Reginald. After that failure, Lorenzo received direct instructions from Guillermo to arrange for Mikayla to grow close to the Nieves family.
The Nieves were a great clan, comparable to the established noble families.
Under Lorenzo and Mikayla’s careful planning, Skylar had eventually fallen for her.
Unlike Mikayla’s agitation, Skylar sat casually with his legs crossed, his suit immaculate and his shoes polished to a shine. His demeanor was completely nonchalant.
“Mikayla, Mr. Owens Senior,” Skylar said calmly, “even if Andrew has returned, it doesn’t really mean anything. Does he truly dare to go on a killing spree in Chetvine? And even if he did—does he have the ability?”
“Two years passing only means he managed to survive,” he continued indifferently. “Nothing more. Maybe he’s still weak. Still crippled by his damaged energy core. Still completely useless.”
Hearing this, Mikayla turned to her father anxiously.
“Dad… what’s Andrew’s strength like now?”
