Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3176

Within moments, the guests in the great hall rose and hurriedly took their leave.

Alfredo was notorious for his volatile temper. One moment he could be smiling pleasantly, and the next he could turn murderous without warning. No one dared challenge his authority. As a result, the visitors withdrew obediently, one after another.

Yet as they departed, they caught sight of Andrew and his group entering the hall. The prominent figures of the Eastern Regions exchanged puzzled looks. They couldn’t help wondering—were these people not afraid of provoking Alfredo’s wrath?

Before long, only Andrew’s group and Alfredo remained.

Alfredo sat upon the main throne, while Andrew stood calmly below. For a brief stretch of time, neither side spoke.

Suddenly, several Swordhaven Keep disciples swarmed into the hall. They shouted curses at Andrew and the others, brandishing their weapons, eyes blazing with fury.

Andrew ignored them completely. His expression grew steadily colder.

The moment Alfredo noticed this change, his heart lurched. He barked sharply,
“All of you—step back. This has nothing to do with you.”

Among the disciples was one of his sons—not Jericho, who had already been slapped unconscious earlier.

“Father!” the young man shouted angrily. “These insolent fools dare barge in before you. They deserve death. Let me tear them apart!”

Alfredo suddenly roared, “Get out! Are you deaf?!”

His son froze, stunned by the outburst, then immediately lowered his head and retreated. No one dared defy Alfredo’s command. The disciples withdrew to just outside the hall, standing by to await further orders.

What they didn’t realize was that Alfredo himself was growing increasingly tense.

One of those disciples had been his own son. Alfredo knew all too well—if they truly clashed with Andrew, this ruthless man who had appeared out of nowhere, his bloodline might be wiped out on the spot.

His grip on the longsword tightened unconsciously, his knuckles turning white.

In the past, Alfredo would have already launched a flamboyant, domineering strike. But today, no matter how much restraint it took, he forced himself to endure. He absolutely could not afford to provoke trouble.

Carefully, he examined everyone standing behind Andrew.

Franz, Conrad, and Kyrie posed no real threat.

Conrad of the Cunningham family and Kyrie of the Harding family were familiar faces. As the foremost power in Holtrien’s Eastern Regions, Alfredo was well aware of the major families in Chetvine. Franz, however, was unfamiliar—but the man’s composed, steady presence made Alfredo wary.

What truly made cold sweat break out across his back was Nyx.

As for Luna and Valerie, they hardly mattered. Though both women were considered prodigies in Chetvine, Alfredo did not truly fear them.

    Nyx was different.

Her Western features, breathtaking beauty, and icy expression made her presence impossible to ignore. Just standing beside Andrew, she radiated overwhelming pressure.

That woman… she’s a martial god, Alfredo realized grimly. Terrifyingly strong. How does Andrew command such an expert?

His thoughts raced. Forcing a light chuckle, he looked at Andrew and said,
“You’ve come calling without any prior notice. Had you informed me in advance, I could have prepared a proper welcome as your host.”

    Andrew smiled faintly.
“We can skip the pleasantries,” he said calmly. “You can just kneel and beg me instead. That would be more appropriate.”

    Alfredo’s expression instantly turned icy.

Ignoring him completely, Andrew strode forward, climbed the steps, and casually sat down in the seat that rightfully belonged to Alfredo himself.
