Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3171
Andrew stayed on guard, secretly afraid that Nyx’s arrogant temper might snap and that she would lash out and hurt someone. Thankfully, she restrained herself. She neither abused her power nor bullied anyone.
From the looks of it, Nyx knew exactly where the line was.
She understood that Luna and Valerie were special to Andrew—and that she couldn’t truly lay a hand on them.
Luna, meanwhile, was completely stunned by Valerie’s boldness and wild imagination. She nearly stumbled on the spot.
After forcing an awkward laugh, Luna lifted her chin and put on a tough expression, as if to say, We’re really doing this, Nyx. What are you going to do about it?
In truth, her heart was already burning with embarrassment.
Her personality was the total opposite of Valerie’s. Luna was reserved and calm, while Valerie exploded at the slightest spark and never backed down.
In the end, all three women turned their gazes toward Andrew at once—each of them clearly up to no good, anger simmering beneath the surface.
Nyx spoke coldly.
“Andrew, you decide. Are you coming with me, or are you running away with them?”
She hesitated, then her voice wavered.
“I-If you go with them, then I—I… will never talk to you again!”
Valerie scoffed.
“What do you mean, running away with us? Don’t twist the truth. We’re the real wives here. Honey, come over. Tonight, the two of us will take good care of you.”
The problem finally landed squarely on Andrew.
He looked left, then right, facing three beautiful yet aggressively confrontational women.
After sighing, he tried cautiously, “How about… all four of us together?”
Nyx clenched her teeth and hissed, “No way!”
Valerie and Luna shouted in perfect unison, “In your dreams!”
Andrew rubbed his chin, thought for a moment, then said, “Then let’s do what Mr. Fernsby suggested. I’ll accompany each of you one by one.”
Nyx replied instantly, “Fine. Then you stay with me first—and after one hundred days, you can go to them.”
Andrew was speechless.
Tonight, Nyx was unusually dominant and unreasonably firm. A war between women was terrifying—every word could be a weapon.
Luna argued, “We traveled all this way, and we haven’t been… intimate with him in so long. He should be with us first.”
Valerie nodded fiercely.
“That’s right. No matter what, he should be with us first. We’re not asking for a hundred days—just ten!”
Nyx scoffed.
“Trying to play mind games again? Ten days? With the hunger you two are showing, would my man even be able to walk afterward?”
Valerie and Luna were instantly furious—and mortified.
Nyx had hit a nerve. And uncomfortably, she wasn’t wrong—though they hadn’t planned to exhaust Andrew.
Nyx continued pointedly, “Besides, in ten days we’ll already be in Holtrien. Here in the Outlands, you dare challenge me and act lawlessly. Once we reach your territory, on your home turf, you’d gang up on an outsider like me.”
She finished firmly, “You’d tear Andrew and me apart for good. So I won’t budge.”
The tension spiked instantly, the atmosphere turning sharp and explosive.
Andrew genuinely feared they might come to blows—or say something too cruel to take back. Either outcome would shatter what little peace remained, and the cost would be far too high.
Yet showing favoritism to either side was absolutely out of the question.
They were all dear to him. He couldn’t bear to hurt any of them.
Andrew finally waved his hand decisively.
“Enough. All of you.”
With all the arguing, he hadn’t raised his voice—but it carried weight.
“With all this fighting, do you even consider me—the head of this household?”
His tone turned cold, his expression suddenly serious. All three women froze and looked at him, startled.
Andrew let out a snort.
“It’s already late, and you’re still making a scene. If others find out, they’ll think I can’t even control my own women.”
His gaze sharpened.
“If I can’t manage a few women, how am I supposed to rule the Wastelands in the future? How am I supposed to establish myself in the Outlands?”
