“You are truly blessed with an enviable situation,” he said lightly. “If we followed the rules of the Highland Tribe, the solution would be simple—just sleep together. Though, I admit, four people on one bed would be a bit crowded.”

He leaned closer, lowering his voice conspiratorially. “So I suggest you call them in one by one to serve you.”

“Be good now,” Luna added sweetly. “Come back to our room. We’re family—we’ll handle our own business behind closed doors.”

Nyx narrowed her eyes. “Who are you calling a wildflower? Surely not me?”

Luna rolled her eyes.

Valerie, whose tongue was far sharper, shot back without hesitation. “Whoever tries to steal our man is the wildflower. We didn’t say a word about you enjoying yourself with him all this time.”

Her gaze hardened. “But now that we’re here, if you don’t step aside and show some respect, that’s just being inconsiderate.”

Nyx sneered. “Even if you were with Andrew before, so what? He’s with me now. He’s my husband.”

Valerie sneered right back. “You stole our man, and you still think you’re in the right?”

“I took him by my own strength,” Nyx replied coldly. “Why wouldn’t I be right? This is the Outlands—chaos rules here. Taking what you want is only natural.”

Her eyes flicked toward Andrew, sharp and dangerous. “And don’t think I only mean taking. If you push me too far tonight, I won’t just deal with this unfaithful rascal.”

She smiled thinly. “I’ll take care of you two beauties as well.”

Valerie instinctively shrank back. She knew she was no match for Nyx’s prowess.

Luna stepped forward instead, her expression serious. “Ms. Kerrigan, Andrew’s relationship with us began back in our homeland. We traveled thousands of miles just to see him again. Please don’t make this difficult.”

Nyx tilted her head and crossed her arms. “Go ahead and see him. I’m not stopping you. You’ve already met him, even shared a meal. Isn’t that enough?”

Her voice softened slightly—but only slightly. “Now that night has fallen, it’s time for me to take him back to rest.”

She hesitated, then added, cheeks coloring faintly, “There’s also something you might not know. Andrew and I are already planning to have a baby. We’ve been… working hard on it lately.”
