Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3166
Andrew said calmly, “I am now the King of the Wastelands, the ruler of Throne City, and the overlord of the entire Outlands. So if you make me uncomfortable, even a great beauty like you won’t escape my grasp.”
Luna felt both shy and embarrassed. She lowered her head and mumbled, “Don’t be like that… We haven’t seen each other in so long, and there are so many people here. I—”
Andrew cut her off without hesitation. “I’ll give you one chance.”
Flushed and flustered, Luna hesitated before softly calling out, “Honey…”
Andrew burst into laughter and stepped forward, pulling her into his arms.
Luna could no longer hold back. She wrapped her arms around him tightly, her usual restraint completely overwhelmed by the longing she’d kept buried for so long.
In a corner of the Throne Hall, Knox, Petra, and Juno sat snacking, staring wide-eyed in disbelief.
“Holy crap,” one of them muttered. “Andrew has two more stunning women back in Holtrien?”
“No kidding,” another whispered. “I always thought Nyx was his only woman!”
“Petra, you really don’t get it,” the third remarked. “A man like Andrew is one of a kind. How could he possibly have just one woman?”
“Enough guessing,” someone cut in quietly. “Look at the entrance… Nyx is jealous.”
“Yikes. Nyx has a fiery temper. She’s not about to start a fight with Andrew’s other women, is she?”
“I don’t think so. She’s usually pretty reasonable.”
“Reasonable?” someone scoffed. “Look—she’s coming in, and she looks furious. She’s ready to throw down.”
Nyx walked forward step by step, her expression icy as she headed straight toward Valerie and Luna.
Sometimes, a woman’s intuition was impossible to explain—but the hostility in the air was unmistakable, especially with several women gathered around one man.
Valerie turned her head, watching Nyx warily.
Luna also pulled away from Andrew, appearing casual while subtly shifting into a guarded stance. When it came to her man, she wasn’t about to hold back.
She had always believed this: if something was worth fighting for, you fought—otherwise, regret would follow.
“Honey,” Nyx said sweetly, her tone shifting abruptly as she clung to Andrew’s arm and swayed gently, “who are these lovely ladies who traveled all the way from Holtrien? Please, introduce us.”
Before Andrew could respond, Luna and Valerie both stepped forward and took hold of him.
“Honey,” Valerie said politely but firmly, “who is this? Could you ask her to let go of you first?”
For a moment, Andrew didn’t know which side to address.
Nearby, Knox, Juno, and Petra couldn’t help but snicker under their breath.
Just then, someone cleared his throat and stood up.
“Andrew, it’s been a long time.”
Andrew turned and smiled. “Conrad. It really has.”
Conrad stiffened slightly, his expression complicated. “Y-you’re calling me by my name?”
Andrew smiled warmly. “Yes. Let’s leave the past in the past. We’ve all been through hell. Looking back now, those old grudges seem pretty meaningless.”
Conrad froze for a beat, then bowed deeply. “Thank you… Boss.”
Andrew blinked. “You’re calling me Boss?”
Conrad nodded. “That’s right. You’re the new leader of Dragonfang. And I was fortunate enough to be recruited by Mr. Lloyd Senior into Dragonfang.”
He straightened. “So without question—you’re my boss.”
