Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3137
From another direction, Juno and Knox scaled the walls of Throne City with breathtaking speed. In mere seconds, they flipped onto the ramparts, weapons at the ready, and unleashed a devastating slaughter.
Alonzo’s eyes widened. He had always focused on Andrew and Nyx, believing them to be the core of Dragonfang, the true martial gods of the age. But now, he realized the terrifying truth: Petra, Knox, and Juno were no mere lieutenants—they had all reached Martial God level themselves, or were only a hair’s breadth away. And unlike many of their kind, they were battle-hardened veterans, each carrying a lifetime of warfare and bloodshed.
Any one of them alone could rival someone like Garal from the Ludendorff family in his prime. Any one of them could hold a critical stronghold for Andrew, their sheer presence enough to dictate the flow of battle.
Now, all four—Nyx, Knox, Juno, and Petra—attacked simultaneously. Martial god-level powerhouses, unleashed together. The Ludendorff family’s top-tier fighters were already being crushed, overwhelmed by the sheer scale and precision of Dragonfang’s assault.
Alonzo’s jaw tightened. He could not comprehend why Andrew had stood back this long, refusing to enter the fray.
Yet Alonzo was not alone in his confusion. Far to the direction of Aurora City, Vance watched the battle unfold with equal scrutiny.
“Vance, shouldn’t we make our move now?” Iridessa asked, her form encased in a sleek, tight-fitting combat suit. Her face was masked, her hands gripping spiked Eastern assassin weapons that gleamed with deadly intent.
Vance’s eyes never wavered from Throne City. “No rush. We move when Andrew is deep in the battle,” he replied calmly.
Iridessa nodded, then frowned. “What about the Cathedral and the Dark Clans? We can’t ignore them entirely.”
A slow smile curved across Vance’s face. “As expected of my sister. But right now… we don’t need to worry about them. The Cathedral and the Dark Clans are locked in a stalemate, constantly testing one another. If either side acts rashly, the other will retaliate immediately. That gives us the perfect opportunity. Throne City can be ours.”
Iridessa bowed in respect. “You always see the bigger picture, Vance. I’ve learned much from you.”
Suddenly, the sky tore open. A massive golden pillar of light crashed down in front of Throne City, illuminating the battlefield for miles. Vance froze, eyes narrowing in recognition. “Arya…”
Then his lips curled into a wild grin. “Iridessa! All our people, move out now! Heaven favors us. That bastard Andrew has been intercepted by Arya right before the battle! Without him, Abyss City will be locked in a death struggle with the Ludendorff family. Who knows who will survive? This is our chance!”
Excitement surged through Iridessa. “Vance, let’s strike! Throne City will be ours! The Wastelands will bow to us!”
Vance laughed, a deep, resonant sound that carried across the battlefield. His aura flared, reaching its peak, a martial god ready to carve his destiny. He drew an unusually long sword, light dancing along its gleaming edge.
“Old friend,” he said, eyes alight, “let us fight side by side once more. Together, we shall etch our deeds into history.”
