Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3116
Arya’s expression darkened slightly. “Nyx has fallen in love with Andrew—that devil. Lysander, Makhaylus, when the time comes and I strike Andrew down, I’ll need your help restraining Nyx. No matter what, I will save her and bring her back to Lomuia. I won’t allow her to continue down this path.”
The two angels nodded in unison. “Understood. We will assist you.”
Suddenly, Arya’s expression shifted. She turned sharply and looked toward the north.
Lysander knew better than anyone that Arya’s spiritual perception was unmatched in this world. If she sensed something, it was never trivial. He asked immediately, “Arya, what is it?”
Arya frowned, uncertainty flickering across her face. “It feels like a massive force is approaching… No—it’s heading straight for the Dark Clans’ army. The distance is too great for me to be certain.”
She turned to Makhaylus. “Alert the Archbishop. Prepare for battle.”
Then she looked at Lysander. “You’re coming with me to investigate.”
Lysander nodded. “Understood.”
On the distant horizon, five thousand Highland warriors surged forward at breathtaking speed. Every one of them carried extraordinary bloodlines and formidable martial ability. Strictly speaking, the Highland Tribe did not follow traditional eastern martial paths—but the principle was the same.
Each Highland warrior far surpassed ordinary soldiers. They were elites among elites. A long-distance assault placed no real strain on them at all.
Othniel broke away from the main force and climbed a nearby rise. At its peak stood Andrew and Nyx, their cloaks snapping in the wind as they gazed toward the Dark Clans’ encampment in the distance.
Othniel asked in a low voice, “Mr. Lloyd, what are your orders?”
Andrew replied calmly, “We’re about thirty miles from Kaelan’s camp. Mr. Fernsby, order the troops to accelerate and go all out. Our timing is perfect.”
“It’s just after sunrise,” he continued. “The vampire army’s combat strength is severely reduced. Sunlight blinds them and forces them underground. As for the werewolves, while they don’t fear the sun, daylight still weakens them. Fighting during the day significantly reduces their effectiveness.”
Othniel nodded sharply. “Understood!”
He turned and let out a long, piercing battle cry. The five thousand Highland warriors received the order and surged forward even faster. Beneath the morning sun, dust billowed into the air as weapons were drawn in unison.
Sunlight gleamed off blades and axe-edges, forming a breathtaking—and terrifying—sight.
Nyx’s slender black silhouette vanished silently from the hilltop. Only her soft voice lingered behind.
“I’ll break through Kaelan’s first defensive line and lead the warriors in.”
Andrew didn’t even turn as he spoke to Othniel. “Mr. Fernsby, you attack as well. Take Kaelan head-on. The vampires will send reinforcements—I’ll intercept them.”
Othniel licked his lips and grinned savagely. “Roger that.”
The impact came like a tidal wave crashing into the Dark Clans’ encampment.
Though the werewolves hastily organized a first defensive line, it was useless. The five thousand Highland warriors had struck from an unexpected direction, catching them completely off guard.
From deep within the dark camp, Kaelan’s furious roar exploded outward.
Wrapped in towering black energy, his massive figure shot into the sky.
The great battle had begun.
