Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 3106

Andrew and Godslayer were smashed brutally into the fortress wall by Ragnar’s blow. The impact shook the ground, and rubble rained down in every direction.

Andrew let out a low grunt. In the past, an attack like that would have made him cough up blood. But now, aside from searing pain ripping through his body, he recovered quickly. Compared to before, his physique had clearly grown tougher—by more than a single level. The realization flashed through his mind.

Gripping his sword, Andrew faced Ragnar from a distance, his expression ice-cold. Ragnar stared back at him, his eyes just as savage.

    He couldn’t understand it.

That last strike should have torn apart even warriors like Edmund and Kaelen. Yet this human stood before him, wounded but far from broken.

A low growl rumbled from Ragnar’s throat.

Andrew’s eyes suddenly widened as he watched Ragnar begin to transform.

Muscles swelled across Ragnar’s once-withered frame. Blue-green blood vessels bulged and spread, blood surging visibly beneath the skin until they wrapped around his entire body. The transformed werewolf stood only around fifteen feet tall.

It was imposing—but still noticeably smaller than werewolf princes like Edmund or Kaelen.

Yet the moment Ragnar’s amber, feral eyes locked onto him, Andrew felt an indescribable sense of danger. Every hair on his body stood on end.

“You should feel honored,” Ragnar growled, “that a mere human like you forced me to reveal my true form just to kill you!”

    He charged.

Andrew thrust his greatsword forward, his gaze just as fierce.

    Clang!

Ragnar’s claw knocked the blade aside with terrifying force. His other claw flashed forward at blinding speed, reaching for Andrew’s throat.

Andrew tilted his head and kicked upward. His legs wrapped tightly around Ragnar’s thick neck as both man and beast crashed toward the ground.

The impact created a massive crater.

For a moment, neither figure could be seen.

As the dust began to settle, Andrew and Ragnar emerged on opposite edges of the crater, somehow already locked into another standoff.

Ragnar’s amber pupils narrowed to slits. Dense, dark energy coiled around his towering body.

A sharp, prickling pain crawled across Andrew’s skin. He knew that aura all too well.

It was the power of Fenrir—the First Werewolf Progenitor—devouring everything in its path.

Without hesitation, the black and crimson glow on Andrew’s greatsword faded. In its place, blazing white holy light erupted as he swung forward.

Ragnar roared as the strike slammed into him head-on, sending his massive body rolling more than a hundred feet across the ground. Explosions rippled over his form, scorched flesh spreading everywhere.

He hissed in fury. “That cursed Cathedral holy light… Are you from the Lomuia Grand Cathedral?”

    His rage erupted.

Ragnar lunged again, his agile werewolf body flipping through the air with terrifying speed. Andrew retreated repeatedly, knowing Ragnar was nearly unbeatable in close combat.

But the holy light was clearly effective.

    So Andrew kept swinging.

Wave after wave of radiant white energy surged forward like a raging river, hammering Ragnar again and again. Though the damage wasn’t fatal, it drove him into a frenzy.

Ragnar threw his head back and released a long, piercing howl toward the heavens.

The already dark sky above the Highland stronghold grew even darker, as if night had fallen in an instant.

    Andrew’s heart sank.

As expected, the black clouds parted, revealing a full moon—and Ragnar’s body doubled in size.

He now stood nearly thirty feet tall, moving with bestial power. Even Kaelen and Edmund would have been dwarfed by him.

As expected of a Werewolf Progenitor, Andrew thought.

He tightened his grip on his sword and sprinted forward.

    Thunderous footsteps chased him.

In just two breaths, Ragnar crossed the distance and landed directly in front of Andrew. He opened his massive jaws, and the wave of stench that rushed out nearly made Andrew vomit.
