Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 2747

After hanging up, Eric pointed at Damon and cursed, “You old bastard, just you wait. Andrew’s on his way, and you know exactly who he is. If you dare lay a finger on the Lloyd family’s Dragon Prince here in Chetvine, I’ll drop to my knees and surrender on the spot.”

    Damon’s face went pale.

The last thing he wanted was a direct confrontation with Andrew. With that punk’s temperament, Damon would absolutely come out on the losing end. Even with Guillermo’s approval to operate in Chetvine, who would dare openly clash with the Lloyd royal family?

More importantly, Andrew was never meant to be eliminated inside Chetvine under the Dragon-Slaying Plan. Their only chance was once he left the city.

Damon reacted quickly. Gritting his teeth, he snapped, “Brielle, you’ll regret the choice you made today!”

With a sharp wave of his hand, he withdrew, climbing into a vehicle with his subordinates and speeding away.

Not long after, several cars rushed in from the opposite direction. Andrew was in one of them.

The moment he stepped out, he drew Godslayer and shouted, “Where are the Divine Alchemists? Point them out—I’ll cut them down one by one!”

“They left not long ago,” Eric muttered. “Lucky bastards ran fast. Damn shame, too. Didn’t expect the old freak to be a martial emperor.”

As he complained, he winced and clutched his shoulder.

Brielle watched closely and stepped forward. “Let me take a look. You probably injured the bone.”

Eric immediately stepped back. “Don’t touch me. I don’t like women getting too close—especially when she’s one of Andrew’s women.”

He turned to Andrew with a crooked grin. “Seriously, though, you’re something else. Adding another one to your harem?”

Andrew went completely speechless. Eric really had no filter. Brielle wasn’t one of his romantic interests—at all.

“Madam Baxter, uh… please don’t take that seriously,” Andrew said with an awkward laugh. “That’s just how he is. He never knows when to shut his mouth.”

Brielle waved it off as if it didn’t matter. Then she stepped toward Eric again.

“Lift your shirt a little. Let me see the mark.”

“You’re unbelievable,” Eric snapped. “I already told you not to touch me. I hate it when women get too close!”

Brielle suddenly froze. Her body trembled, disbelief flashing in her eyes.

Without warning, she raised her hand and slapped him—twice.

    The sharp sound echoed.

Eric was stunned, red handprints instantly blooming on both sides of his face. “You crazy woman! Are you out of your mind?! Believe me, I’ll hit you back!”

He stood frozen for a split second before jumping up in fury.

Andrew and Jerome exchanged shocked looks.

After a brief pause, Andrew actually felt it was justified. Brielle wasn’t someone to be trifled with—and Eric had it coming.

“Take off your shirt!” Brielle shouted, her voice shaking. “Let me examine you!”

Andrew finally sensed something was very wrong. “Madam Baxter… what’s going on?”

    She didn’t answer.

Instead, trembling violently, she grabbed Eric’s already torn shirt and ripped it open, exposing a flower-shaped birthmark near his shoulder, close to his chest.

Andrew’s body jolted. In that instant, he understood why Brielle was acting so strangely.

“My precious boy…” Brielle sobbed. “The son I’ve been searching for all these years—he’s been in Chetvine the whole time. Right by my side.”

Tears streamed down her face as her voice broke. “I’m your mother. And you’re my son.”

Her legs gave out, and she collapsed to the ground, crying uncontrollably.

Eric shouted, “You’re insane! What are you even talking about? You’re my mother? Then I must be your father!”

“Eric!” Jerome barked. “Watch your mouth!”

He turned to Andrew, completely confused.

Andrew forced a bitter smile. “Mr. Thornton… you noticed Eric’s birthmark, didn’t you? It’s a Stellar Purplebloom—the same flower embroidered on Madam Baxter’s veil and most of her belongings. There’s a strong chance they really are mother and son.”

Jerome looked again and realized it was true.

    He was left completely speechless.

    Life was truly unpredictable.
