Rising from the Ashes (Andrew and Lauren) Chapter 2720

Lorenzo had reached his breaking point. He roared, “Fine! I’ll give you the real Sacred Heart Method. Just don’t do anything reckless.”
This time, he didn’t hesitate. He tossed Andrew a palm-sized crystal.

Andrew didn’t even glance at it. He handed it to Eric and said calmly, “It’s real. The Owens family records their Sacred Heart Method on a crystal. Warm water reveals the text and patterns.”

Lorenzo froze, stunned. “You… You bastard. H-How do you know the Owens family’s secret?”

    Andrew scoffed.
“I can tell you that much. Back when I was still with the organization, I had the chance to wipe out your family and take everything for myself. I didn’t, because at the time, our families still had ties. I never imagined you and Mikayla would turn out to be such vile people.

“The higher-ups didn’t see you as anything special. More than once, someone wanted to take you down, Lorenzo. What your family treats as ‘secrets’ were, in my eyes back then, no different from something left out in the open.”

Lorenzo’s jaw tightened. “Fine. So what if you’re right? Now let Mikayla go.”

    Andrew sneered. “Not yet.”

“You dare go back on your word?” Lorenzo shouted.

Before Andrew could respond, a loud commotion erupted. A convoy of military vehicles and heavy-duty SUVs stopped at the foot of the mountain.

The first to step out were Luna and Valerie.

Behind them came two combat chiefs from the Lloyd royal family of Chetvine, and among them was Sheena—another top Lloyd family prodigy. Even injured, she walked straight toward Jose.

“Mr. Castillo,” she said with a grin, “I’m here to see what you’ve got. Let’s find out if your reputation holds up. I’m ready.”

Jose’s expression darkened. “Sheena, don’t get ahead of yourself.”

She shrugged, unimpressed. “Why not? You couldn’t beat Alfredo, right? I survived him. Nothing about you scares me today.”

Jose clenched his fists. If it were only Sheena, he would’ve ignored her. But the presence of two Lloyd combat chiefs—especially the one carrying what looked like a hand cannon—made him tense. That weapon only needed one hit to seriously injure him. It was a specialized weapon used by the Lloyd family’s inner leadership to hunt high-level martial saints.

Jose wasn’t a martial god yet. Facing two Lloyd ministers, Sheena, and nearby military generals was too much, even with backup abilities.

At that moment, Andrew chuckled and shoved Mikayla forward. She fell face-first, scrambled up awkwardly, and ran to Lorenzo.

He grabbed his daughter immediately, unsealing her meridians. As her strength returned, Mikayla hissed, “Dad, kill them! Kill Andrew now!”

Lorenzo’s mouth twitched. “No. We’ll return to Chetvine first and plan from there.”

Mikayla refused, screaming, “No! What about my humiliation? What he did to me? I want him dead now!”

Lorenzo started to argue, but Jose stepped in.
“Everyone, get in the cars. We’re leaving. And take your foolish daughter with you. I’m already embarrassed enough because of her. If she wants to die, she’s not dragging me with her.”

Mikayla paled and immediately shut up. In front of someone like Jose, she was nothing more than a reckless child.

Lorenzo sighed. “Let’s go. Stop being impulsive.”
Dragging Mikayla along, he headed for the vehicles.

Before getting in, she yelled, “Andrew! Just you wait!”

    Andrew rolled his eyes. “Trash.”

And with that, the confrontation ended—one side retreating first.

Luna walked up to Andrew, relief softening her voice. “Are you okay?”

Andrew smiled. “I’m fine. But why are you all here? I only asked Sheena to send a pickup. I didn’t expect everyone to show up.”

Valerie huffed. “We came to make sure you weren’t dead.”

    “Thanks,” Andrew said.

Arms crossed, Valerie snorted. “Whatever. You’re alive, that’s what matters.”

Andrew continued, “Sheena, Ms. Reyes, both generals—go on ahead. This place is secluded, the view is incredible, and it’s not every day I get to visit the Advanced Medical Institute.”

Sheena groaned. “Oh great. What now? What nonsense are you planning?”

Andrew took Luna’s hand and grinned. “Relax. I just want to show her the view. Maybe find a quiet spot and steal a kiss.”

Luna’s face went crimson. “Are you out of your mind?”

Andrew barked, “Don’t yell. Just answer me. Do you like the idea or not? Come on, I’ll pick you a little red flower and tuck it behind your ear. You’ll look adorable.”

Luna felt flustered and tempted. She could never resist Andrew’s shameless charm. Reserved and gentle as she was, his boldness always left her heart racing.

Sheena rubbed her temples. “Fine. Go pick flowers and whisper sweet nothings. You’re the boss anyway.”

Jerome and Eric walked off with the Lloyd ministers, giving them space.

Valerie, however, looked furious. The moment she saw Luna actually follow Andrew, she stormed after them.

Andrew turned, confused. “Valerie, what are you doing?”

Valerie stared coldly. “I want flowers too. And I want to enjoy the view.”

Andrew hesitated. “Uh… maybe someone else can take you.”

She scoffed. “No. I’m coming with you. Don’t even think about getting cozy. Push me, and I’ll drag both of you off a cliff and we’ll all die together in this damn forest.”
