The first day and evening had been good, and everything would work out.

‘We still need to tell them.’ Lily says in my head.

‘I know, but what if he will look at me differently.’ I ask.

‘He won’t.’ She says, sounding very sure about what she says.

‘I would just really like to be able to control it better before I tell him. So he can

see it’s nothing that hurt anyone.’ I say.

‘Let’s go for a run then. I would like to see these lands again.’ She says.

‘Again?’ I ask.

‘Yes, I have lived here before, many, many years ago. I was another king’s mate, but he was brutal. My human was an omega and, in the king’s eyes, not worthy of him, so he killed her.’ She tell me, and I am shocked.

‘That’s terrible. I can’t believe some are like that.’ I say sadly.

‘Rocky assured me that Noah is different. He told me how his parents met. And it’s a lot like our story. He was raised to love his mate.’ Lily says.

‘But he rejected one at the ball dad took me to.’ I tell her.

‘Because even the bond was there, it wasn’t strong. Every wolf has a true matebond and a second bond. The second wolf spirit was connected to her human before I was. And that is why he felt her the strongest that night. But she belonged to a person, who had caused a lot of pain in his family. And that magnified the will to reject her. And when that bond was broken, he could feel us. Which he would have done first had the other girl not been there.’ Lily explained, and I understood better.

‘Lucky for us, I guess.’ I say, and Lily chuckles in my head.

‘It is very lucky for us.’ She agrees.

‘Okay, let’s go for a run.’ I say and silently leave the house.

We get into the forest, and I find a good hiding spot where I can undress. Then, I shift. Lily has a beautiful chestnut-colored fur with a mark on my right front leg, which looks like a tree. I know it sounds

But it is because Lily is a very special wolf. She can manipulate with the earth. Make things crow, and much more. She says I, with time, will be able to do it in human form, too, and that scares me a little.

Lily ran around for a while, I noticed some places she made dying trees and flowers look new and fresh again. But most of all she had a nice time and enjoyed being let out stretching her legs.

She stopped by the waterfall I was at that night and walked around, showing me her powers. And flowers started to grow all the way around us, and it was amazing.

After being out here for a few hours, we ran back to where I had hidden my clothes and shifted back to my human form. I began walking back out of the forest, and walked by the fields used for training. Right now, it’s full of tents like the ones in the camp in France for Dad’s pack. Here, they will stay until they can move to the lands Dad was offered.

It was quiet as I walked by, but then a sound caught my ears. Someone was crying, and I stopped to hear where the sound came from. I slowly walk towards the sound, and as I get closer I begin to catch the

“Gina?” I say softly as I see her on the ground, sitting up against a tree, her head hidden in her arms that are held up by her knees.

“Princess, I am so sorry.” She says, trying to rush up to stand, but I stop her and sit down with her.

“What is wrong?” I ask her softly.

She looks worse than when she left the house my family is staying in, pale and tired, almost similar to what Juliette looks like. And it worries me.

“I can’t tell you, you won’t believe me. I don’t even believe it myself.” She whispers and begins to cry again.

“Gina, despite your past with Noah. I don’t hate you, but I feel that you have a good heart. So please, I don’t want to see you like this. What is wrong.”

“Your sister.” She whispered so low I barely heard it, but I did hear.

“I know, and I know you lost your mate as well. My sister was pregnant when her mate was killed, and she lost the baby out of grief and stress. You are strong, Gina, stronger than my sister.” I tell her.

“Princess, yes, I know her pain, but this is not why I am in a panic. But princess, I feel a matebond between your sister and me.” She whisper, and I am shocked.

“What?” I say, not knowing what to say, but she nods her head, confirming what I just heard her say.
