Alpha’s Second Chance Chapter 267

I am looking out the airplane’s window, watching as we fly over the water and leave America. I keep seeing his eyes in my head and can’t get him out of my thoughts. He is so handsome, and everyone has been whispering about him.

Some of the other guests were shocked to see what had happened at the ball. He rejected his mate, just like that. At first, I was shocked, but then I began hearing stories about how the girl had treated his sis. And I felt sorry for the king but understood why he rejected her.

I kept looking at him and everything else that happened that night. And at one time I felt his eyes on me too, but when I looked, he didn’t.

When every wolf that could shift went on a run in waited, kept eyes, and watched as they started to come back. When I thought most was back, I went for a walk without Dad knowing and walked into the forest. That place is the most beautiful place I have ever been to. I loved the atmosphere. When I saw the waterfall, I was in so much peace that I just had to jump into the water. Luckily no one saw me, as I had been naked, but I was only in the water for a short time.

Walking home, I still had the young king in my mind, so when I saw a moon flower, I took it, wanting to give it to him. But when I came back to the castle, I got cold feet and ended up sneaking into the wing we had been told was his. Here I used my senses and found the door where his scent was the strongest, and left the flower in front of the door. After that, I hurried to bed, hoping he or a guard wouldn’t catch me there.

I went to bed without sleeping for most of the night. I just lay there and saw him in my mind.

I was shocked when I bumped into him in the hall this morning. I was running late, and Dad was waiting. But I had to try to see if the flower was gone, and it was. He had found it. I was in my own thoughts when I bumped hard into him in the hall. I got worried, what if he got mad now? but he didn’t, and he was being really sweet. And I was happy I got to tell him goodbye, but I hope I see him again.

She was gone, the little beautiful French girl, that I was sure was my second chance mate. It was hurting in my heart, knowing she was right now going back home, to a home that was not safe at the moment.

‘We will keep an eye on the situation.’ Lucian said in my head, and I silently agreed with him.

I needed to distract myself, so I mindlinked Enzo, telling him to meet me at the training center. Then, I went there, waiting for him and greeting the warriors who were there training. I saw a familiar face, went closer to watch, and found Kyle and Dad in a friendly fight, the warriors cheering.

“That is not something we see every day,” Enzo says laughing as he comes walking.

“Hey. No, not ever, well, not this public anyway.” I answer with a chuckle.

The fight lasts for a while because even if Dad is strong, Kyle was the Alpha’s Alpha for years before Dad became king. And he had been the one keeping order and making sure our laws had been respected. Kyle was a good man, and he and Kate were now part of our family. After a long fight, Dad won, and the two laughed and shook each other’s hands.

The warriors cheered at them and then returned to their own training, and Dad

and Kyle joined Enzo and me.

“Good fight,” Enzo says, and they smile.

“You here to train?” Dad asks.

“I wanted to give Enzo a chance to use his lycan and go for a run. Lucian says

they talk, and Rocky wants to try his new form.” I say, and I look at Enzo.

“Me too. It is just something I never expected to happen to me in my life,” Enzo says.

“You have to do it, though. It would be best if you learned what it feels like. This is new for both you and Rocky. So it needs to be done. I tell him and he bows his head, showing he knows I am right.

“Well, you two have fun then,” Dad says, and he and Kyle leave.

Enzo and I walk out to the forest, and I look at him before I talk.

“Just let Rocky do the shift. He knows what to do.” I tell him and he nods his head and does as I say, and shortly after, a big deep gray lycan stands in front of me.

I shift, and then Rocky and Lucian check each other out, or Lycian checks out

Rocky. But in the end, he steps back and nods his head approvingly.

“A Lycan that is worthy of being our Beta. We already know Enzo was worthy and a good person. But do not know, we can also have less fear of hurting you. And we are proud of calling u our Beta.” Lucian says, and Rocky bows his head in honor.

“Now, let us run, test you,” Lucian says. They start running, and we disappear into

the forest.
