    Chapter 2743

Night settled in, darker and heavier than before.

Kennedy didn’t go far from Oakvale. With Qyla at her side, she found a secluded cave deep in the mountain forest and stopped there to recover.

She had won the fight against Fairxy, but the battle had reopened old wounds. The damage inside her body had worsened. She needed time to heal—time she wasn’t sure she had.

Qyla lay quietly beside her, licking its front paws. Every so often, its amber eyes flicked toward the cave entrance, alert to even the slightest movement in the dark.

    Kennedy felt uneasy.

She knew Fairxy too well. Revenge was in that woman’s blood. If Daoist Qinson hadn’t intervened and personally guaranteed their withdrawal, Fairxy would never have backed down so easily.

    And Qinson himself…

He seemed impartial, even righteous—but his timing had been too precise. He had stepped in at a critical moment, yet his true intentions remained unclear.

Then there was the Yux family behind Fairxy—a hidden clan infamous for arrogance and cruelty.

    And the Wiebe family…

Kennedy let out a quiet sigh as images of those trembling mortals surfaced in her mind.

She had stepped in partly for Qyla, and partly because she couldn’t stand watching Fairxy and her son slaughter innocent people without consequence.

But saving them once… was that really enough?

She was injured, being hunted, surrounded by powerful enemies. How long could she keep protecting others?

Kennedy took out the medicine Dustin had given her and swallowed another pill.

Warmth spread through her body, gently nourishing her damaged meridians.

    Dustin…

A young man who had lost all his cultivation, yet still possessed extraordinary medical skill. The white jade pendant he’d given her rested against her chest, faintly warm—quietly reassuring.

    If you ever need help…

She gave a faint, almost self-mocking smile and shook her head.

What could an ordinary man possibly do in the storm about to swallow Oakvale?

Pushing the thought aside, she closed her eyes and began circulating her internal energy.

She never imagined the retaliation would come so quickly—nor so brutally.

Meanwhile, at the Wiebe family residence.

    Terror gripped the entire household.

Mindey Wiebe looked as though he had aged ten years overnight. With shaking hands, he directed the servants to clean the bloodstains and tend to the injured.

Yuru, whose hands had been severed, survived only because of emergency treatment. The massive blood loss left her permanently crippled and on the verge of mental collapse.

Jinan’s face was bruised and torn. The rest of the injured family members huddled together, consumed by fear and despair.

Mindey gathered the family’s ancestral jade pieces and gold heirlooms. He planned to sell everything. The idea was simple—flee south, disappear, and never return.

But before they could even take the first step—

    Fairxy came back.

She appeared at the gates of the Wiebe estate with three guards at her side.

Makeup barely concealed the injuries on her face, but the hatred and killing intent in her eyes needed no disguise.

The servants at the entrance froze.

“Y-you… why are you back?” one of them cried, turning to run inside.

    “Hmph.”

The sinister-looking guard lifted a hand.

A streak of energy shot forward and pierced straight through the servant’s skull.

    He dropped instantly.

Fairxy stepped over the body and walked into the mansion.

Hearing the commotion, the Wiebe family rushed out. The moment they saw her, despair swallowed them whole.

    “Fairxy—please, spare us!”

Mindey collapsed to his knees, tears streaming down his face.

“We never meant to offend you! Yesterday was an accident! We’ll give you everything—our money, our property—just let us live!”

“All your wealth?” Fairxy laughed coldly, her gaze sweeping over them like they were livestock.

“You think ants like you are qualified to bargain with me?”

She took a step forward, her voice thick with malice.

“I’m here to collect debts. Debts for seeing what you shouldn’t have seen—and for humiliating me.”

“No—no!” Jinan screamed, clinging to her mother.

Fairxy tilted her head, smiling faintly.

“Who should I start with?” Her eyes locked onto Mindey. “You’re the head of the family. Let’s begin with you.”

    She flicked a finger.

A bolt of purple lightning shot out, striking Mindey square in the chest.

    “Father!”

    “Grandfather!”

Cries of anguish echoed through the courtyard.

“Kill them,” Fairxy said calmly. “Not one survivor.”

The sinister guard moved first. His curved blade flashed like a reaper’s scythe, every swing taking a life amid piercing screams.

The other two followed, cutting down their targets with ruthless precision.

Mindey tried to push himself up—only for Fairxy’s Purple Lightning Palm to strike again. His skull shattered instantly. He died with his eyes wide open, unable to close them even in death.

Jinan and her mother clung to each other when a blade swept through their waists, severing them in a single stroke.

Yuru trembled on her bed. Hearing the chaos, she tried to crawl away. A guard kicked the door open and crushed her chest with one stomp.

    Servants. Maids. Children. The elderly.

    It made no difference.

    Age. Gender. Pleas for mercy.

Screams, sobs, desperate begging—each sound was cut short.

Blood spread across the courtyard, into the hallways, through the rooms. The metallic scent of it hung thick in the air.

Fairxy stood at the center of it all, watching calmly.

There was even the faintest hint of satisfaction in her eyes.

She ordered her guards to slow down—deliberately prolonging the fear and despair before death took each victim.

    Fifteen minutes later…

Only Fairxy and her three men remained standing.

The Wiebe estate had become a field of corpses.

Not a single person was left alive.
