    Chapter 2741

    “Arrogant!”

The female cultivator roared and formed a rapid hand seal. A bolt of crackling purple lightning exploded from her palms, tearing through the air as it shot straight toward Kennedy.

    Kennedy didn’t dodge.

She simply raised her right hand.

A translucent white barrier bloomed from her palm.

    Boom!

The lightning crashed into the shield with a deafening explosion—but the barrier didn’t even tremble.

The female cultivator’s face drained of color. “Impossible! You were gravely injured. How can you still wield this much power?”

    Kennedy gave no reply.

    Her figure blurred—then vanished.

In the next instant, she appeared directly before the female cultivator and struck out with her palm.

The motion looked light, almost effortless. But the invisible force behind it carried crushing spiritual pressure.

Startled, the female cultivator hastily retreated, frantically waving her hands. Streaks of sharp purple light condensed into blades and slashed forward.

Kennedy moved like a phantom, weaving between them with flawless precision.

    She struck again.

This time, the female cultivator failed to evade completely. The edge of the palm wind grazed her shoulder.

She groaned, stumbling back as blood seeped from the wound.

    “Mother!”

From inside the mansion, the boy cried out in panic.

He leapt through the window, gripping a gleaming dagger, and lunged at Kennedy from behind.

“Loreo—watch out!” the female cultivator shouted desperately.

    Kennedy didn’t even turn.

    She flicked her arm back.

A burst of spiritual force detonated outward.

The boy screamed as he was hurled through the air like a broken kite. He slammed into the artificial hill and collapsed, coughing up blood.

    “Loreo!”

The female cultivator’s eyes turned bloodshot.

Like a maddened beast, she charged at Kennedy, both hands blazing with violent purple light. Her killing intent surged uncontrollably.

    Kennedy’s gaze turned glacial.

    She stopped holding back.

Her hands formed a complex mudra as she chanted softly.

In an instant, the temperature plummeted. Frost crept across the ground. Snowflakes condensed from thin air, drifting soundlessly through the courtyard.

“Ice Frost Technique!” the female cultivator shrieked.

She tried to retreat—but it was too late.

    Kennedy thrust her palm forward.

A storm of razor-sharp ice crystals roared with the palm wind, slamming directly into her.

A piercing scream split the night.

Her body flew backward, smashing through the courtyard wall before crashing into the ruins beyond. She lay there, breathing shallowly, severely wounded.

Kennedy walked over slowly and looked down at her with cold indifference.

“You have committed countless evils,” she said flatly. “Today is your reckoning.”

The woman coughed up blood, hatred blazing in her eyes. “You… just wait… my people won’t let you get away with this…”

“Then let them come,” Kennedy replied calmly, lifting her hand to finish it.

    Whoosh—whoosh—whoosh!

Suddenly, sharp sounds tore through the air.

Figures descended from the night sky, landing one by one in the courtyard.

At the front stood an elderly man in a blue Taoist robe. His hair and beard were pure white, yet his complexion was ruddy and vigorous, his eyes gleaming with restrained power.

He surveyed the scene and frowned faintly.

    “Stop.”

His voice wasn’t loud, but it carried undeniable authority.

Kennedy paused and turned toward him. “Daoist Qinson. Are you here to interfere?”

Master Qinson sighed. “Miss Bellemare, mercy should be shown when possible. Though Fairxy has done wrong, her crimes do not warrant death. For my sake, please spare them.”

“And if I refuse?” Kennedy asked coolly.

“Then I will have no choice but to intervene,” Master Qinson replied solemnly.

A chill flashed through her eyes. “You intend to stand against me?”

“I was entrusted with this matter. I must see it through,” he said evenly. “Miss Bellemare, you are formidable—but not fully recovered. If we fight, these mortals will not survive the aftermath. Can you bear that consequence?”

    Kennedy fell silent.

She glanced at Qyla in her arms, then toward the trembling members of the Wiebe family inside the mansion.

    Slowly, she lowered her hand.

“Fine,” she said coldly. “I’ll give you face. But they leave immediately—and swear never to trouble these people again.”

Master Qinson nodded and turned toward the ruins. “Fairxy, can you hear me?”

The battered woman clenched her teeth and nodded weakly. “I… hear you.”

    “Then leave. Now.”

With a sweep of his sleeve, a gentle force lifted Fairxy and the unconscious boy, carrying them out of the courtyard and into the darkness.

Kennedy watched their retreat, a sharp glint flashing in her eyes.

    She knew this wasn’t over.

With Fairxy’s vengeful nature, retaliation was inevitable.

But with Master Qinson present, there was nothing more she could do—for now.

“Miss Bellemare, until we meet again.”

Master Qinson bowed lightly before departing with his companions.

Kennedy stood alone in the silent courtyard.

“It seems I’ll need outside help,” she murmured.

Forming a hand seal, she summoned a spirit bird from thin air.

With a clear cry, it spread its wings and shot into the night sky, vanishing into the darkness.
