“Aukon, submit to your fate.” Logan leveled his longsword at him, his tone ice-cold.

Cassius flicked his whisk, and the Tai Chi diagram hovering above slowly descended with steady pressure.

The child shifted restlessly, brimming with fighting intent.

But just when everyone thought victory was already in their hands, Aukon suddenly curled his lips into a twisted smile—wild, cruel, and filled with a desperate resolve.

“Execute me? With just the likes of you?”

His hoarse laughter echoed through the ruined hall. His eyes slid toward Houtu, Dark Murky, and Aoki—each either sealed or gravely injured—greed and madness gleaming openly in his gaze. “To force me into using that technique… you should feel honored.”

Before anyone could react, Aukon threw his arms wide and began chanting. The eerie incantation didn’t sound like human speech—it felt ancient, sinister, and dragged straight from the depths of the underworld.

As the chant spread, the dark-gold and platinum light around him abruptly turned pitch-black. An evil aura far more corrupt and nauseating than even tainted dragon blood erupted like an awakened demon that had slept for thousands of years.

Three jet-black beams burst from Aukon, each tipped with a twisted dragon head. They shot across the space like chains from hell, instantly latching onto Houtu, Dark Murky, and Aoki.

From within Houtu’s sealed cocoon came a soundless, bone-deep scream that tore at the soul.

Dark Murky’s rigid body jerked violently, his frozen expression warped with agony.

Aoki’s eyes snapped open, and he let out a raw, ragged howl that didn’t sound fully human.

Then came the nightmare.

Before everyone’s eyes, the three bodies shriveled at terrifying speed—collapsing like punctured skins. Their life essence, their spirits, and even the dragon power they had cultivated over lifetimes were ripped out, dragged through the beams, and absorbed into Aukon.
