Chapter 2615
Golden light suddenly erupted around Logan, blazing like a scorching sun above the swamp.
Faced with Bloodhand’s blood-red cage, Poisonous Heart’s vortex of venomous insects, and Boneface’s barrage of bone needles, Logan didn’t flinch. Instead, a cold smirk crept across his lips.
“You dare show off your tricks in front of a master?”
Before the words even finished leaving his mouth, Logan flung his arms wide.
In an instant, countless golden threads shot from his body, forming a massive glowing net that expanded in every direction.
Bloodhand’s cage, just seconds from sealing shut, was ensnared by the net. What looked indestructible crumbled like brittle silk under the golden weave.
Bloodhand’s face twisted in horror. He tried to pull back the blood threads, but the golden strands seemed alive—racing along his lines of blood straight toward his arm.
“No—!”
Panic overtook him. He tried to sever the threads with a surge of power, but it was too late.
The golden light raced over his arm. As it passed, the crimson hue vanished, revealing pale bone beneath.
“Aaaah!”
Bloodhand screamed in agony as his entire arm disintegrated, reduced to ashes with nothing left behind.
Meanwhile, the vortex of poisonous insects met the same fate.
The golden strands slashed into it like razors. Each monstrous insect that touched the light was instantly incinerated, nothing more than dust and smoke.
Poisonous Heart—Miriam—watched in stunned horror. She’d never witnessed such overwhelming force. She desperately summoned more insects in a last-ditch counterattack, but it was pointless.
The golden threads cut through everything, scattering her swarm like dry leaves in a storm. Then, they turned toward her.
In terror, Miriam spun around and bolted.
Logan narrowed his eyes and snapped his fingers. A beam of golden light shot through the air, striking her squarely in the back.
Her body froze mid-step.
Then, under the golden blaze, she began to char and collapse, turning pitch-black as she crumbled into nothing.
At the same time, Boneface’s bone needles came within a few feet of Logan—only to hit an invisible barrier. The moment they made contact, they turned to dust.
Watching his allies die one after another, Boneface’s eyes filled with dread. He didn’t dare hesitate. He turned and tried to sink into the ground to escape.
“Think you can run?”
Logan’s voice was calm—quiet even—but it carried an unshakable authority.
He pointed a single finger.
Suddenly, a golden beam erupted from beneath the ground, trapping Boneface in a column of light mid-descent.
Boneface thrashed wildly, but the beam was like a divine prison. No matter what he did, he couldn’t move an inch.
“W-Who are you?” he screamed, his voice trembling, the shattered bones on his face quaking in terror. “How do you wield power like this?”
Logan didn’t blink.
“You’re nothing but filth. And today, I’m wiping all of you off the earth.”
He raised his palm. His fingers curled inward slowly.
As his fist clenched, the golden beam around Boneface tightened like a vice.
Boneface’s screams grew shrill, then cut off entirely as his body was crushed—erased without a trace.
The three high priests of the White Bone Cult—Bloodhand, Poisonous Heart, and Boneface—were all considered top-tier masters.
But in front of Logan, they hadn’t even stood a chance.
With them gone, Logan turned his gaze toward the altar not far away.
It was constructed from countless bones, drenched in an aura of blood and death. Strange symbols carved into it pulsed with a dim, evil glow.
In a flash, Logan appeared atop the altar.
He swiftly formed seals with both hands and began chanting in a low voice.
Golden talismans surged from his body like falling stars, slamming down onto the altar one by one.
Boom!
A thunderous rumble shook the swamp.
The altar trembled under the assault, bones cracking and falling as the symbols flickered and faded in the golden light.
Moments later, the entire structure crumbled into ruin.
Logan scanned the area once more—no signs of survivors.
He tapped his foot lightly, and his body lifted effortlessly into the sky, turning into a streak of light as he flew toward the horizon.
…
Not long after, back in the ruins of the altar—
A withered old man wrapped head to toe in bandages slowly crawled from beneath the mud.
He glanced around carefully, then let out a long breath of relief.
“They came right to our door… I didn’t expect that. Good thing I hid in time. Otherwise, I’d be ashes too.”
He shook his head, face grim.
“I have to report this to the Great Elder immediately. The land’s immortals are aware of our movement. We have to halt the plan, or we risk bringing destruction upon ourselves.”
Without another word, the bandaged man formed a seal and chanted under his breath. His body began sinking into the ground, vanishing using the Earth Escape Technique.
But he failed to notice—
Far above the clouds, a figure in white quietly watched.
Motionless.
Silent.
Unseen.
