    Chapter 2423

The clash between the Pantheon and Sacred Wyrm Summit reached a boiling point, with both sides fighting relentlessly.

The Pantheon had meticulously prepared for this invasion, gathering elite fighters from across the globe and equipping them with powerful tools. Each warrior received strengthening potions, and the Pantheon even designed specialized combat suits to counter Sacred Wyrm Summit’s thunder-based attacks.

Ordinarily, a thunder strike would render even a master-level fighter helpless. However, with these suits, the impact of thunder was halved, allowing the wearer to recover quickly and continue fighting. This innovation gave the Pantheon a significant defensive edge.

Additionally, the Pantheon’s overwhelming numbers tipped the scales in their favor. They had assembled tens of thousands of fighters, including mercenaries and criminals lured by hefty rewards. These forces swarmed the battlefield like a relentless tide, overwhelming their opponents with sheer volume.

In contrast, Sacred Wyrm Summit had only a little over a hundred warriors. Though each disciple was highly skilled and fought valiantly, they were heavily outnumbered. Despite leveraging their formations to momentarily hold the line, it was clear that exhaustion would soon take its toll.

“Lord Bailey, Sacred Wyrm Summit is nearly ours,” reported a black-robed master at the main god level, leaping onto the roof where Bear King Bailey stood. “Only the fighters in the main hall are still resisting, but they won’t hold out much longer.”

“How is Tyson’s progress?” Bear King Bailey asked, his face calm and unreadable.

The attack had been planned from multiple fronts. One force was tasked with infiltrating Sacred Wyrm Summit’s forbidden area, another was deployed to eliminate its masters, and the strongest contingent lay in ambush for Arion Foyer, their ultimate target.

“Master Houle hasn’t reported back yet,” the black-robed figure replied. “But he is well-prepared, with contingency plans in place. I doubt there will be any issues.”

“This plan must not fail,” Bailey said sternly. “Send two scouts to check on his progress and report back immediately.”

    “Understood!”

The black-robed master gestured, and moments later, two spies slipped away toward the forbidden area.

Nearby, the Blood Demon William emerged, blood staining his armor as he walked up to Bear King Bailey. “Lord Bailey, we’re at their doorstep. Why hasn’t that old man shown himself yet? Could he have fled like a coward?”

Bailey’s expression remained cold. “Arion Foyer isn’t the type to run. As Dragonmarsh’s most revered martial artist, his reputation wasn’t built on fear. He’ll show himself. Be patient.”

William grinned darkly. “If you ask me, not enough of them have died yet. Once we wipe out the entire Sacred Wyrm Summit, that old man won’t be able to hide anymore.”

As soon as William finished speaking, a voice rang out from above.

“Who dares threaten the destruction of Sacred Wyrm Summit?”

The voice was calm yet thunderous, exuding an unshakable authority. Everyone within a 100-meter radius felt an oppressive weight pressing down on them, making it hard to breathe.

Both Bear King Bailey and Blood Demon William spun around to face the source of the voice.

Standing atop a large tree behind them was a rotund man with broad shoulders and a solid frame. His loose Taoist robe, silver hair, and serene expression made him look like a harmless elder. But the aura radiating from him was anything but ordinary—it was suffocating, radiating immense power.

There was no mistaking it. This man was Arion Foyer, the legendary martial artist of Dragonmarsh and their primary target.

Bailey and William immediately tensed, their battle instincts kicking in. They were both impressed and alarmed. Despite their vigilance, Arion Foyer had appeared behind them without anyone noticing.

Within seconds, several figures materialized, forming a tight circle around Arion Foyer.

The reinforcements included Tristan Enns, the sword master; Brady, Victor, and Santino, the three ace assassins of Zhunigia Kingdom; Basong, a boxing legend from Bonga Kingdom; and several Pantheon main gods.

Together with Bear King Bailey and Blood Demon William, they numbered over ten top-tier fighters, all surrounding Arion to cut off any escape.

“Old man,” William sneered, “I didn’t think you’d have the guts to show up. Aren’t you afraid of dying?”

From his perch atop the tree, Arion Foyer gazed down at them with an expression of serene detachment, as if observing insects. “You were the one who threatened to destroy Sacred Wyrm Summit?”

“That’s right,” William replied smugly. “Not only will I destroy Sacred Wyrm Summit, but I’ll also kill you.”

Arion smiled faintly and gave a thumbs-up. “How bold. It’s been years since I stretched my muscles. Tonight, I’ll give you the honor of being my warm-up.”

The moment he finished speaking, Arion vanished.

Before anyone could react, he reappeared directly in front of William.

    “Bang!”

With a single, thunderous slap, William was sent hurtling backward like a cannonball. His body smashed through several trees before crashing to the ground. Half of his face was caved in, his features grotesquely distorted, and blood gushed from his mouth and nose.

    The battlefield froze.

The Blood Demon William, one of the Pantheon’s top fighters, had been incapacitated with a single blow.
