An Understated Dominance Chapter 2359 – “Dr. Rhys! Come on!”
As Dustin stepped onto the stage, the two sisters, Noemi and Kassidy, immediately cheered for him from behind. Their excitement quickly spread to the rest of the audience, and soon, thunderous applause and cheers echoed throughout the arena.
The reason for the overwhelming support was simple. During his previous battle against the Blood Clan, Dustin not only demonstrated his exceptional combat abilities but also brought great honor to Dragonmarsh. Ever since that victory, his fame had skyrocketed.
Now, in this final match, Dustin found himself facing another foreign opponent. Regardless of their personal views, the people of Dragonmarsh would always stand behind one of their own when faced with an outsider. When foreign enemies came knocking, the people of Dragonmarsh were known for their unity, even if they often had internal conflicts.
As Dustin took his place, his opponent, Father Adam No. 9, also walked onto the stage. Unlike the previous challengers, Bill Wolf and Black Kong George Bross—both of whom had met their end—Father Adam, who was known by the moniker “Angel Dust,” carried himself with a quiet, unassuming demeanor.
Of course, Dustin knew better. Despite his modest appearance, Father Adam was by far the most dangerous of the three fighters sent by the Pantheon. He was stronger than Bill Wolf and Black Kong combined.
“I can tell you’re a dangerous man,” Father Adam said, his eyes locked on Dustin with intensity. “It won’t be easy to defeat you today.”
Though Father Adam couldn’t fully gauge Dustin’s strength, he sensed a threat comparable to, if not greater than, Fenley Hudson—a master listed among the Legendary elites. Knowing this, Father Adam was prepared to give everything in this battle.
“Defeat me?” Dustin chuckled softly. “If you manage to survive this, then I’ll count it as my loss.”
Dustin had no intention of showing mercy to the Pantheon’s enforcers. He would deal with each of them swiftly, especially those who posed the greatest threat.
“Oh? You seem very sure of yourself.” Father Adam grinned, though his expression was cold. “Do you really think you can defeat me?”
“You’ll find out soon enough,” Dustin replied with calm confidence.
“Fine! Then let’s put that to the test,” Father Adam responded, his voice low and sharp as his body began to transform.
In an instant, a layer of fine black scales enveloped his entire body like armor, tightly protecting his weak spots. His arms also morphed into sharp black blades, identical to those used by Black Kong.
But unlike Black Kong, Father Adam’s genetic modifications were far more comprehensive. He had integrated the traits of dozens of different creatures, enhancing his speed, strength, defense, reflexes, recovery, and all five senses to levels far beyond normal human capabilities.
In short, Father Adam was a nearly flawless killing machine, with no apparent weaknesses.
“Draw your weapons,” Father Adam said as he slowly extended his arms. His sharp blades cut two deep grooves into the ground, slicing through the surface effortlessly, like a knife through butter.
“You’ll see my weapons when you die,” Dustin replied with a faint smile.
“Hmph! Arrogance!” Father Adam’s expression turned cold. Although he was known for his cunning, he still couldn’t hide his irritation at being underestimated by Dustin.
“The match… officially begins!” Orion Foster, sensing the growing tension between the two, quickly announced the start of the fight before stepping off the stage.
“I’ll show you what I’m capable of!” Father Adam shouted, launching himself forward with a powerful kick. He shot toward Dustin like an arrow released from a bow, moving with incredible speed.
At the peak of his physical condition, Father Adam’s senses were finely tuned, allowing him to detect even the slightest opening in his opponent’s defenses.
“Swish! Swish! Swish!”
As Father Adam charged, Dustin flicked his wrist, sending three silver needles flying from his sleeve. Two of the needles were aimed directly at Father Adam’s eyes, while the third was aimed at his heart.
“Hmph!” Father Adam snorted, continuing his advance without hesitation. As the silver needles closed in, he swung his blade-like arms with precision, knocking the two aimed at his eyes out of the air with a sharp “clang.”
The third needle struck his chest, but Father Adam didn’t even flinch. The needle bounced off his black scales, producing a small spark as it hit. His momentum remained uninterrupted, and the needle fell to the ground, bent and useless.
“Interesting,” Dustin murmured, his smile widening slightly.
While his silver needles weren’t the deadliest weapons, they were usually enough to deal with ordinary martial artists. The fact that they had no effect on Father Adam showed just how formidable his defenses were.
“Die!” Father Adam roared, closing the distance between them in an instant. He swung his razor-sharp blade at Dustin’s neck, the air around it humming with destructive force.
