- An Understated Dominance Chapter 2353
An Understated Dominance Chapter 2353 – Sacred Wyrm Summit didn’t have many strict rules, so when Abigail started a gambling game, Easton Foster, out of curiosity, joined in. At first, he won big, but soon, he lost everything. With the excitement high and adrenaline pumping, he recklessly bet a talisman.
That’s when things spiraled out of control. After losing over a dozen precious talismans, Easton realized something was wrong and quickly stopped.
That’s how the talisman ended up in Azalea’s hands.
“How do you have a talisman?” Elder Shade frowned from the ring, clearly displeased.
The talisman was a hallmark of Sacred Wyrm Summit, especially the lightning talisman, which was extremely valuable. For a Mystic Arts Order disciple to possess it was outrageous.
Azalea smiled slyly. “Hehe… it’s a secret.”
Before the match, the saint had given her three talismans. She had already used one, and it worked well. If she used the other two wisely, she still had a chance.
“Do you really think a magic talisman will help you beat me? Dream on!” Elder Shade scoffed.
He suddenly dropped his golden sword, letting it sink deep into the ring, leaving only the handle visible. Slowly, he drew a black, broken blade from his back. Though it looked simple and unremarkable, as soon as he unsheathed it, his entire aura shifted — cold, fierce, and overpowering. The golden light that once surrounded him turned into black mist. He now looked like a demon god emerging from the depths of hell.
“Whoa! Elder Shade’s serious now!” someone in the audience exclaimed.
“That sword… it looks evil,” another remarked.
“If I’m right, that’s the legendary Demon Blade,” a voice explained. “It used to be one of the ten most powerful swords in the world, but it was shattered by a mysterious master and sealed away. I didn’t expect it to end up with Elder Shade. Even broken, it still has the power to destroy everything!”
“The Demon Blade combined with his Blood Crazy Sect swordsmanship is terrifying! The Mystic Arts Order disciples are in serious trouble!”
The crowd watched in shock as black mist swirled around Elder Shade. The Demon Blade wasn’t just hard to find, it was nearly impossible to control. Most swordsmen couldn’t even draw it, and those who did risked losing their sanity to its demonic energy. But Elder Shade appeared unaffected, clearly having mastered the blade.
“You’ve forced me to draw the Demon Blade. You’ll die with honor,” Elder Shade said coldly, then swung the blade in a simple, direct motion.
As the sword moved, a wave of inky black energy sliced through the air. The sky darkened, and the black mist seemed to devour everything in its path. The ground corroded and the air thickened, though the attack was silent, its deadly intent was clear.
“Dark Murky Umbrella!” Azalea quickly activated her seal, summoning the once-faded dark umbrella into the air. Red light radiated from it, forming a protective wall against the black energy.
But in the next moment, the dark blade cut through the red barrier with ease, shattering the umbrella into pieces.
Azalea was shocked. As she retreated, she launched hidden weapons at Elder Shade, but each dart and weapon disintegrated as soon as they touched the black energy.
Seeing no escape, Azalea cried out, “I surrender! I surrender!”
Just as she spoke, a bolt of blue lightning struck down from the sky, colliding with the black blade’s energy.
A deafening explosion followed, and when the black mist cleared, referee Orion Foster was standing in front of Azalea, shielding her.
“You—!” Elder Shade’s fury rose. He had been so close to killing her, only to be stopped by Orion’s quick intervention.
“She already surrendered. There’s no need to kill her,” Orion said calmly. The rules were clear: either win by death, knockout, or surrender. Azalea had surrendered, so as the referee, Orion had to step in. Another reason was that she had a connection to Sacred Wyrm Summit, so he acted to protect her.
“Thank you for saving me!” Azalea bowed deeply to Orion, still shaken by the near-death experience. The difference between her and the masters on the Legendary list was far too great. Even with all her treasures, she couldn’t close the gap.
Fortunately, she was smart enough to surrender in time — otherwise, she wouldn’t have survived.
